He's my view on how the relegation battle is likely to pan out.

Forest currently on 33 pts so one more win is likely to see them safe. They are away to Chelsea then home to Arsenal in their next 2 games so you've got to assume they'll lose both of those. Chelsea are a complete unknown at the moment though but after a decent performance at Bournemouth at the weekend they'll be keen to follow it with another win at home. That leaves Forest needing to win away at Palace on the final day of the season to secure their survival. As we all know, anything can happen on the final day. Potentially finish on 36 points.

Everton currently on 32 pts. Next game has to be assumed to be a write-off against City even though it sits right between them playing Real Madrid in the UCL getting anything at all out of this one will be a miracle. Wolves have little to play for now they're mathmatically safe on 40 points so if we can put in another Brighton like performance this will be a winnable game but I'd be happy with a point on the road. We'll then be very likely to be going in to the home game with Bournemouth on the final day with survival in our own hands. Again Bournemouth are safe with nothing to play for so this has to be a must win game. Goodison will be rocking if there is still something to play for.

Leicester currently on 30 points. Next game home to Liverpool you've got to expect the RS to turn them over fairly easily. With Man Utd faltering they're looking at top 4 so I reckon they'll put a few goals past a very poor Leicester. Same again in their next game away to Newcastle I expect this to be a heavy defeat for Leicester leaving them with everything to do at home to West Ham on the final day where they will need nothing less than a win and they'll still be relying on other results.

Leeds currently on 30 points. Next game is home to Newcastle so getting points out of that one will be tough. As with Leicester above I expect them to ship a few goals and have a heavy loss. Away at West Ham is going to be Leeds best chance of getting anything as West Ham could be mathmatically safe by the time this one kicks off. Leeds will be looking for at least a draw from this one. They end the season with a home game against Spurs who should still be in the hunt for a European spot so unlikely they'll get a final day win but who knows.

Southampton currently on 24 points. Survival is looking almost impossible with 3 wins from 3 needed to survive. I not even going to bother with predictions because they're unlikely to get 1 win nevermind 3 of them.

In summary, if Everton get one more win to get us to 35 points I think it could be enough to see us staying in the premier league and fighting another relegation battle next season. Whatever happens though, unless we can get a win against City we're guaranteed our lowest ever Premier League points total. Thanks Frank!!

Cant lose the intensity and 100% commitment from every single player that we had last night and would be great to get the points needed so that it doesn't go to the final game but part of me thinks that its done now. Cant see Leeds or Leicester winning another game or even getting the 2 points needed to go level with us should we lose all our games.

That result yesterday was huge and the mindset for Leeds and Leicester players will be one of panic.

So many have said for so long that it would be them being the ones safe, and it was between us and Leeds to go down along with Sainst and Forest - It never helps any team conceding 1st something like 16 from the last 17 prem games, the only one they took the lead in and Lost was actaully at Palace when they were totally battered and somehow took the lead only to lose in injury time - the way we look at games where it could have cost us - The Foxes Fans could defo use that Palace game as one

You’d be worried if you were a Leicester fan because the players are at each others throats, injuries are striking, and the fans are turning against the players. As bad as we’ve been this season the fans have never really openly turned on the players under Dyche. Smith doesn’t seem to have carried any credit as a new manager with the Leicester fans.

It only takes one result to turn all that around though but sentiment and momentum seems to be with us and I’d rather have our points, circumstances, and fixtures than theirs at the moment.

After getting an unexpected result ourselves we can’t be too confident in predicting any results. There’s easily a scenario which sees Leicester beat Liverpool at the weekend and us lose to City and we’d be back in the drop zone with two games left and Leicester flying with confidence.

Not over by a long shot yet but we’ve given ourselves a far far better chance and also ramped up confidence. If we can get anything out of City it will give us the confidence to go to Wolves believing we could win and if nothing else we’ll carry the Brighton win into the final day knowing we can score goals and can win games in the PL.
Overall: our best form of the season has arrived just at the right time. The Newcastle game was dire, but before that, going to Palace and getting a point against a team flying, pummelling Leicester on their own ground and then annihilating THE form team in the league outside City on their own pitch has been sensational.

If we take that form into the last 3 games and keep our midfield fit then we have a massive chance. I fancy us over a hopeless Leicester and Leeds, for sure. And I'm convinced 1 more point gets us past Forest at the end of the season.

Smith looked rocked yesterday. Ashen faced. He knows he's on the verge of ending his PL career.

They've had no bounce from him, 'Shakey' and 'JT'.

A half arsed Liverpool team will rip them a new one...and Liverpool are more than half-arsed, they want European football next season even if it's EL.

Yeah, we have gone from over the weeks to being told we have fixtures no one would want, to now seemingly other's would want.

A point vs City would be massive.
Wolves' current home record is very good, so that's absolutely no gimme either.
Would really love to avoid having to win on the final day to stay up.

I can’t see a way around that to be honest. Best case scenario I would say we could be 2 points clear of the drop zone on the final day. I just feel like there will be so many twists and turns before the end. I would love it if we got 3 points from the next 2 games and Leeds and Leicester got nothing, I just can’t see it happening, I think they will get points.

Agreed but we dont want these players needing to beat Bournemouth on the last game, we should go all in against City and Wolves
No last thing we want is a nervous last game...But I think going all in against City could go badly wrong. We need to keep building player confidence and getting smashed off City them would be a step backwards even though we know they are a good team.

I’ve always thought, there’s no way will Leicester get relegated, but they must be crapping themselves after yesterdays 3 results
Same... however, when we played them I soon realised that they are in fact worse than us!

So now not so surprised

One game at a time still needs to be the focus.

We need to make it as difficult for City as possible and turn it into a battle. If they beat us fair enough, but make them earn the points. If they are off their game, then be ready to capitalise.

It's back in our own hands with 3 left, and 2 at home. We need to guard against any sort of complacency because this team have a tendency to go a bit overboard after a good result. We need to keep building, we've not achieved anything yet.
