I can still see a scenario where every one of our rivals picks up another win at some point. Unexpected results can happen in May for teams down the bottom.

We will need another win ourselves at some point. We need to look to catch Forest as much as staying above Leeds and Leicester. If we can get level on points with Forest, it's much more likely we survive.

Those 2-2 draws at Forest and Leicester…… we could, perhaps should, have won at least one of them. Would have made a massive difference, we’d probably be safe right now.
Both of them we should have won. Sheer chances created against Leicester and the fact we had the lead twice at Forest.

I actually think another draw could see us safe.

Agree on this, what helps next week is yes we will most likely not win but Leeds and Leicester play Newcastle and Liverpool, so it should be as you were points wise

We proved yesterday that the league at this time of the season is unpredictable.

But the fixtures have fell kindly for us this weekend.

Liverpool need to win to keep CL Hopes alive.
Newcastle need to win to maintain their CL push.

Forest go to Chelsea who finally got a win.

If we’re in the exact position as we are this time next week, we’ll be closer to the finish line. Just don’t take a beating and try to get anything.

I think there’s an argument to be made that away from home certainly we have been showing progression.

I know it’s all about points - but leeds and Leicester’s performances have just been diabolical. We have slowly been building towards a performance like that away from home imo. Especially the forest and Leicester games. It feels like it’s built on something vaguely sustainable - whilst leeds and Leicester just seem all over the shop.

I don't really go along with the free hit thing, every game matters when you are 2 points ahead of the drop zone after 35 games. A 2 point lead is obviously a better position than being 1 point adrift that said.

It's an extremely difficult game, but taking something from that game would make a huge difference, even a point. Our target needs to be 4 points from 3 games. If City play at 95% or more of their best, they will more than likely beat us. But if they are off their game then who knows. We need to turn the game into a battle.

I felt confident going into Brighton, well, confident we could get a draw.

We’re playing City at the perfect time that they want the CL more than anything, and we’re sandwiched inbetween their semi final games.

But this is a side who’s unbeaten in 20 games of which they’ve won every domestic game bar one.

I don’t expect anything for a reason. Play without any pressure, which the Brighton win has given us, and who knows. I just ask for us to not get battered and then rest should work out.

So you are saying they are due to drop points

**clutches at straws**

I don’t know why, but I feel a lot more confident going to Wolves next week than I do with the game against Bournemouth.

Dyche has made us very solid away from home and there’s a chance of points there if we can perform like we did in recent times.

Hopefully the last game becomes a dead rubber, if others slip up and we take our chances.

Leicester just seem to be spiralling, but I wouldn’t rule Leeds out, they seem like the side who could easily grab a result out of nowhere, I can’t see it with a Leicester

Update:

Leicester - 30pts
Liverpool H LOSE
Newcastle A LOSE
West Ham H DRAW
Total 31pts

Forest - 33pts
Chelsea A LOSE
Arsenal H LOSE
Palace A DRAW
Total 34pts

Leeds - 30pts
Newcastle H LOSE
West Ham A DRAW
Spurs H DRAW
Total 32pts

Everton -32pts
City H DRAW
Wolves A DRAW
Bournemouth H WIN
Total 37pts

Leicester, Leeds and Southampton relegated but would make for a very nervy final day
Mate if only it was this easy.

our away form certainly has been better than our home form recently which is weird

That made it 3 away games unbeaten yesterday - 1st time since we went 3 unbeaten since drawing at Brentford and Leeds in August (both 1-1s) and the 3rd game that run the 2-1 win at Saints in October - last time we went 4 unbeaten away was 2 years ago
