I loved this from the 'Foxes Forum' btw:

Smith has had virtually no time …. but, even so, has made virtually no difference. I look at how organised, aggressive and together Everton look under Dyche and turn green with envy. We could have given him that time. And more.

Apparently Smith had promised Leicester players yesterday off and has pissed them off he hauled them in for a 'de-brief' as their game is next Monday.

Fair to say it's going arse up for Smith 'Shakey' and 'JT'...as our 'Villa supporting' friend called them.

You realise that we were in real danger of that before kick off on Monday, and could still be after the game on Sunday right?

Everyone on this forum knows we’ve been in danger of relegation most of the season and still are. We just don’t need constant doomsday predictions of not scoring goals or never winning again every minute of the day, we all know the situation we’re in. I don’t see anyone on here saying we’re going to smack 5 past Wolves because we did the same at Brighton yet the regency bias is massive the other way if we don’t score for one game.

I keep asking myself this question: "we're on 32 points. Is that enough?".

If our GD was better than Leicester's I'd be inclined to say there's a good chance 32 will be enough.

Sticking my neck out here, but probably...PROBABLY...another draw would see us safe given that in all likelihood Forest wont win another point and Leeds have inferior GD.

It's a tantalising one that'll become even more tantalising if the next round of games see Leicester, Leeds and Forest all beaten...regardless of what we do against City.

We're getting into that area now where all this is not just idle speculation but informed calculation.

Those people - and we all know who they are by now - have been an utter disgrace. They've made it their objective for months to torment other Everton supporters and deflate any sense of confidence.

It goes beyond 'banter'...which they use as a defence to accusations against them. It's an outrageous attempt to create an atmosphere that affects our chances of survival, because we all know the mood is taken from forums like this and has a real world effect.

It's been unforgivable. Utterly repugnant.

Just looking at GD. The only one we have as a problem head to head with is Leicester. They're +6 on us.

However, they have a couple of fixtures coming up that threaten that superiority: Liverpool and Newcastle. If those two win against Leicester it's likely to be by more than a goal - possibly 2 or 3 or more.

If we dont get anything from City it'll be important to keep any loss down to 1 goal.

This could be key on the final day. If we can wipe out their GD advantage we may be in a scenario where a draw is all we need against B'mouth.
Shame Fulham took their foot off their throats in the closing stages of that game, just the four goals you feel could have potentially been wiped out by Liverpool alone.

Would be nice to have that extra layer of insurance over all of the other sides down there. If things don’t go well against City, we’ve got to make sure we don’t allow it to become a pasting.

This gets said a lot but no names are given, why is that?

Yeah but you backed an Everton manager once

Worry/fear manifests itself differently.

The likes of @Kev The Rat @matty1878 have taken cry arsing to the next level but its definitely not driven by 'banter' - some have just lose their composure but it's from a place of sincerity.

I think we need 34 points and that would be enough. From their remaining games I can't see Leicester getting more than 3 points vs West Ham giving them 33 points, Forest might pick up a draw at Palace giving them 34 points and horrific goal difference then Leeds might pick up a draw and beat West Ham giving them 34 points.

2 draws or a win does it.

I think he means the people who thought we would probably getting relegated when we were getting battered every week.

So about 85% of the forum at one point or another.
No, it's been going on for months when relegation was a distant possibility - before even the sacking of Lampoard when we had half the season to go.

They've acted like a dead hand on this forum. It's been an effort for the majority of us to keep from succumbing to their torrent of negative BS.

Yes, for 'sure'.

I suppose my point is that it's within reason to wonder if Leicester and Leeds get more than another point...and that is a very reasonable question IMO.

My optimistic view is that in all likelihood another point does it: as that will force Leeds to get more than 3 points and it'd overhaul Forest, as I cant see them getting another point.
