When I look at that Leicester squad I think to myself, "yeah, there's talent there, but who really wants to play for the shirt?". Their out of contact "stars" already know they've got their futures secured at other clubs, especially Maddison. Well, that's what I gathered from watching them v Fulham recently.
Maddison himself called them out for not being hungry / aggressive enough although I'm not sure he's putting it all on the line himself. It's only human nature that guys like him or Tielemans who will leave in the summer aren't going to go flying into 50/50s that could jeopardise their big moves. They were stupid not to take some money for Tielemans last summer, partly for this very reason.

I agree on the Chelsea / Forrest game, I think Forrest will get something there this weekend.

I think even if West Ham were not in the Europa league, they would have literally nothing to play for in these games, I guess the only thing is that they will rest players, which on paper, could make them a walk over. But we have seen before that teams at the bottom, low on confidence, like Leicester and Leeds, can still struggle, even when they are playing a side with nothing but professional pride to play for.

4 more points and we will be fine, im just hoping we scrape a draw vs city and a win vs wolves and go into the final day, 4 points clear.
This would be the best outcome we can hope for.

This’ll be me this weekend. NEA.

Have to agree. They owe the home crowd a performance and will be boosted by the Bournemouth win
Forest are still poor on the road even if they get the odd goal for a change
Chelsea will demolish Forest.

S'ton stuck 3 in against them...a team pretty much done for.

West Ham don't have the squad to do much resting. Some players never get rested when fit either.
Just don't see them throwing any games, not the moyes way

A huge positive we have is we play after Leeds and Forest so we can understand the situation better especially v City which many will class as a dead rubber.

So we can already see the picture of how the weekend looks before we play at home which will be hostile and passionate.

I think City will make many chances if you look at their last 3 games however they will still be strong but we have a fully fit XI who have taken 4 points already this month and scored 7 goals.

We will get chances v City. A point is due given last season.

Still work to be done but it does feel a lot better being out of the relegation places - watching our rivals playing on Saturday is a lot less stressful knowing we get our chance on Sunday. Nothing will be decided this weekend but if everyone's points are unchanged after Monday night then I'd be ok with that.

I was fortunate enough to be in Goodison when we beat Bayern Munich and when we won the FA cup against United at the old Wembley but the joy I felt in the first half against Brighton was comparable - not something I'm proud to say but says much about the desperation I've felt for the team over the last two seasons. Thank goodness that we currently have Dyche in charge who at least is giving us a chance of staying up - we would have been doomed by now under Benitez and Lampard.

No, mate.

That passion for your team in adversity is indeed sommat to be proud of.

Anyone can find great pleasure in winning those massive games when the only penalty for losing is to exit a cup competition.

But these epic relegation battles…. Wimbledon, Cov, Palace, Brighton this week….when the price of losing is being cast into the football wilderness possibly for a decade or more…that’s when we realise how much this dear old club means to us all.

That is why when anyone asks me my greatest EFC memory it is not the two Cup Final wins I was at in 1984 and 1995 or Rotterdam 1985 or even when we clinched the title at Norwich in 1987.

Wimbledon Day 1994 stands out for me…. I have never celebrated a win the way I did that day

If we can get a point v City, that puts us 3 points out of the dropzone and our goal difference puts up ahead of Forest.

Big games for Leeds, Forest and Leicester but anything can happen.

I think we'll go unbeaten until the end of the season with Wolves and Bournemouth on the beach - we can pick up at least 4 points from those games.

wow lol wish i thought like you

we’ve won one game away convincingly we’re not all of a sudden madrid
