Just on Leicester, they would have been looking at Leeds, Everton, Fulham as a 3 game block to pick wins up and seriously damage their 2 relegation rivals - in the end they picked up 2 points.

2 points from their games against us and Leeds isn’t disastrous if they beat Fulham, yet they went there and shipped 5 while we went to a better side and scored 5 on the same day.

Let’s be honest if that was us, and we had RS and Newcastle next, we would all be saying it’s over. It isn’t over, but you do feel that they’ve blew their biggest chances of getting points.

If they do indeed go down, the Pickford penalty save at 2-1 will haunt them, same as Bamford for Leeds.

Not just Southampton and Forest, Frank had us lose at Bournemouth and home to Wolves who were probably the worst two teams in the league at time of losing those.

I think Dyche is doing a really good job given the form we were in when he took over and that we’d already played our easiest (on paper) games of the season.

Yeah there are a couple of results that are iffy. But those two in particular. Southampton are now relegated. Nathan jones single win came against Frank. And forest away from the city ground are diabolical. They have a -33 goal difference away. Lampard has had two bites of the cherry as home manager to beat them. He's damaged Everton even when he's not been the Everton manager.
Awful.

People need to be realistic and expect absolutely nothing today. City cannot afford to slip up.

Everybody knows that they are now hitting top form and are on another planet currently to the majority of the PL.

Of course it would be fantastic to nick something, but I’d say it’s 99.9999% not happening.

TBF they didn't look like they were in top form versus Leeds last week.

They were very lethargic.

Almost like they had sommat else on their mind.

And they still have :)

My heart says we can win today, that would be massive in terms of us staying up and getting it done early, 3 points would put us above Forest and 4 points clear of Leeds, 5 points clear of Leicester which means Leicester will need 2 wins from Liverpool (H), Newcastle (A) and West Ham (A) with Leeds needing 2 wins because of GD from West Ham (A) and Spurs (H)....

My head says we probably get beat or we are capable of pulling off the same as we did at the Etihad and grab a point, which does still stregthen our hand slightly.

Confidence is high in the squad and if we can be as ruthless in front of goal as against Brighton then who knows, I`ve seen Pep crying it in this week regarding the timing and the schedule of games, I`d love more Everton if we were as successful. Isn`t that the price of success?

Perhaps we will see a rotated and off colour Man City, one thing they certainly won`t want is our players rattling in to them ahead of the Madrid game. We need Goodison to be at her absolute best, again if that happens then who know but both players and supporters need to leave it all out there today.

UTFT...................

Kick off needs to hurry up.. currently thoughts are swinging between

We were fantastic against Brighton, the atmosphere will be loud and hostile, City will have one eye on Madrid

and

I hope our goal difference doesn’t take too big a hit 😅.

Exactly this... the battle of heart Vs head.

We've managed to put ourselves on a pathway to survival. But a heavy defeat today - which would not be unexpected - will lower the mood here once more.

We're going to need another four points. That would put us on 36. Forest would then need to win one of their last two. Doable but difficult. Leicester would need two wins from their last three. Doable but very difficult. Leeds would, similarly, need to win both of their matches. Very difficult. We could even afford one of those three nightmare scenarios happening and still survive.

That's where I am at. I could see one of the three doing the needful above, but think two very unlikely. So, four points is my cut off. It means an agonising last day, though if we don't get them in the next six days and Leeds and Leicester stay within range.

I think we need to be realistic. We could take a fearful hammering today. That is not implausible. I won't be writing off our chances of a point today, but neither will I be calling for the tranquilisers if we lose heavily. I expect a three-goal defeat. We're simply not good enough to beat City. But if we show desire, passion, aggression, and smarts, we can make a game of it. A performance at this point would almost - almost - be as reassuring as a surprise point.

I am more amazed every day that Frank Lampard kept us in the Premiership last season.

We would be worse than Southampton now if he hadn't been sacked and midtable somewhere if he had been sacked earlier

The results in January completely crippled us.

If we go down by a few points it’s firmly on the board and Moshiri for giving Lampard the Southampton and West Ham games, that really was an unforgivable dereliction of duty from those lazy incompetent cowards.

Why didnt Johnson start the match? Carrying an injury or lost some form?

Who is more highly rated for you Gibbs-White or Johnson?

I really like the look of Danilo and Lodi.
Johnson - We play better in a 5-3-2 away so you need to sacrifice one of MGW, Awoniyi or Johnson, Need MGW for link play and Awoniyi as a target man so unfortunately Brennan has been on the bench the last few away games

Hard to say who's more highly rated, i'd say Brennan's ceiling is higher, he's truly a special player but our problem is getting the ball to him, when we do he causes problems nearly every time, MGW is good too but would have has ceiling a bit lower

Yeah those 2 are quality, we've got a decent side aside from being lightweight in midfield, sometimes dodgy GK mistakes but mainly injuries have killed us

The idea he "kept us in the Premier League" was always a slanted reading of his tenure. He took over a side in 16th place four points above the relegation zone with games in hand over the two teams directly below. He then plunged us into peril and required a dramatic upturn in results to scrape us back out to where we were - 16th.

If he kept us up, he saved us from himself. Because his overall performance would have had him sacked had it happened in the first part of the season. This, then, is what inevitably happened this season.

Lampard is a confidence man.
