Yeah, Evertonians are in danger of vacillating out of emotional control. The mercury is rising and plummeting week to week.

We're likely taking a tanking today. We cannot under any circumstances write the game off, but this really should not be a game that prompts despair later. People need to keep a grip on things. Two huge matches to follow. We're playing, arguably, the best team in the world today. Any kind of result would be hugely surprising.
Agreed not discounting today but our cup finals are against wolves and bournmouth.

I personally can see Leeds and FC Everton staying up yano.

I'd rather be in Leeds position than Forest at the moment. They've got to hope Arsenal bottle it and if they don't they are done if Leeds take care of business. Personally I hope everyone other than us loses from here on out but that probably won't be the case.

The point for Forest was critical yesterday.

I'm not saying they are safe now, but it does crystallize the battle between us and Leeds in starker terms.

After today, Leeds fixtures are less favourable on paper than ours, but only in marginal terms really. They are playing sides that, like our opponents, may have their minds elsewhere. They can in theory take points from both games.

Likewise, whilst I expect Arsenal to beat Forest, going to Palace on the last day isn't the most daunting fixture you could think of, in the context of the final game with the home side potentially on the beach.

I do think Leicester are cooked, I hope I'm not wrong there.

I'm not expecting a point today, but it would do so much for us.

We may have to take four points from the remaining two games. I'd have settled for that anyway, but the margin for error is just not there if other results go against us.

The euphoria after the Brighton result has to be converted into more points, we're not safe yet by a long way.

Not losing by more than two goals today is important if no points can be claimed.

Say lose 3-0 today and then Wolves 1-0 and Leeds would go back infront with just a draw at West Ham next weekend on goals scored so they'd then have a slight advantage on final day.

Only certainty in my mind is just 1 point from final 3 games and team gets relegated as wouldn't finish above Forest and I fully expect one of Leeds or Leicester to beat West Ham.

At least side in last few weeks have shown they should be much better than that and excellent response to losing heavily to Newcastle with the four points on the road so people shouldn't be too downbeat by today ,should give Man. City a good workout.

Forest are three points ahead of Leeds with two games to play. A point keeps them above Leeds. I'd take Forests position over Leeds' any day of the week.

This.

Because Kepa is a hologram as well.
Kepa's done alright since he got back in.

Fronk absolutely screwed us.
The idea he "kept us in the Premier League" was always a slanted reading of his tenure. He took over a side in 16th place four points above the relegation zone with games in hand over the two teams directly below. He then plunged us into peril and required a dramatic upturn in results to scrape us back out to where we were - 16th.

If he kept us up, he saved us from himself. Because his overall performance would have had him sacked had it happened in the first part of the season. This, then, is what inevitably happened this season.

Lampard is a confidence man.
I'd argue the fans played a bigger part in getting a performance out of the players during last season's run-in than Lampard ever did.

Lampard did fine end of last season.

Of course Man. United, Chelsea, Leicester and Palace were all on the beach....but he still had to win those games and there was no certainty in the build up that was going to happen. Man. United was less than 72 hours after the despair of Burnley away. Chelsea at home was on the back of Burnley winning three straight and being 5 points clear in 17th.

Start of this season the defensive record was good so that gave me hope it would be a no frills mid table season but started going wrong from October when you saw there was very few goals in final third with the style.

He should've gone during the World cup break. Bournemouth double header showed where his tenure was going and some terrible performances after that which could still very easily relegate this team.

Can’t see any points today but need to keep the score down and come through injury free.

We likely need a win from the last 2 and I would rather be in our position than any of the rivals below.

Unfortunately I do think we may need something from the last game so we are still 2 weeks from the end of this nightmare!

I don’t think it can be overestimated the value of keeping up with the weekend points haul of our competitors each weekend in terms of a morale boost or us and blow to them. No one will expect us to get anything today so even if we get a point - it’s a massive psychological impact as well as ensuring our rivals don’t make any ground on us (subject to tomorrows result as well)
