We played literal Manchester City Football Club.
Yes but it was still an opportunity. Teams have gained ground so we need arguably 2 more results in the next 2.

No such thing as a write off in this position. With a bit more quality and intensity we could have made it a different game today. I dont accept the concept of write offs.

But blimey we must be a really good team as we thrashed Brighton and they are beating the Arse
We must be in a false position

Even if Arsenal lose, are people here really that stupid enough to think that this will determine their next performance v Forest? I mean, it’s like people don’t even understand that it’s not how football works at this point.
This, if anything them losing is bad news for Forest as they’ll be wanting to come back swinging

If they know that the league has completely gone then of course they might be a bit flat.

You could also say it was a saved opporunity to lose 0 - 7 with Haaland and Gundogan being on fire

Goal difference could still play a part

All we can hope for now in terms of the latest round of games for the relegation threatened clubs is that Leicester dont take all three points tomorrow.

If they dont win, the matter still rests with us (even if it's on a knife-edge for us still it's far more preferable to be outside the bottom three by a point, obviously.)

We'd be in the position where fans of those other clubs will look at us and say we have two winnable games left. Forest may have 2 points on us but their fans realistically will see another win as being the best they'll get. Leicester fans would realistically see one of their last two as winnable. Leeds fans might see two wins from the final two, but they'd still be a point adrift of us.

If Leicester get beat tomorrow I'd be inclined to count them out and look only at Forest and Leeds as the clubs we need to see off.

Terrible position needing Liverpoool to do us a favour, but that;s where we are. Luckily, they realistically have a chance at a 4th place finish still.

We’re in a relegation fight precisely because we lack quality.

The only think we might do was not to concede 3. They won 10 games ina row before today. In the end the manager played his lovechild no2 Maupay and a Championship player at lb.
