Seems everyone hates us for being a “nothing club” who never do anything.

Oh and apparently everyone wants to see us suffer due to the FFP breach
“Nothing club” yeah we get the tag a lot as well - usually from fans of truly nothing clubs like West Ham. People just don’t know their history.

Luton town have won a trophy more recently than Wolves and they were in the conference 9 years ago, so Wolves can pipe down.

To be fair, we are a nothing club. We've literally been hanging around the Premier League doing nothing since its inception, other than one FA Cup win 28 years ago.

Sure, we have a rich history but that was a long time ago and we've had over 3 decades of decline since we really mixed it.

In a totally unsurprising set of events, I see wolves forum all frothing at the prospect of beating us and putting us in the relegation zone.

Thank god I’m on the halfway line, can’t be dealing with their fans lol

Weird that, I don't mind Wolves - or should I say I'm indifferent to them. Don't think we've had any resemblance of rivalry with them? I thought they'd be wanting Leicester buried sooner than us. I guess it is more down to the size and history of Everton for novelty factor to see us go down, plus the weird obsession other fans have of hating scousers.

Well, if the 'Big Six' represents finishing positions in the PL then we've been Big Six six times in that league....probably more than any other team outside of the Big Six.

I wouldn't call us a nothing club in any way. It's simply not appropriate for a team with Everton's history, its fan base and - soon - its stadium.

If there's any club that correctly fits the bill 'sleeping giant' it's this one.

Red in peace although I expect some hatred.

Found the demise of Everton unbelievable to be honest which is why I’m here, been following the forum for a long time now & find myself watching toffee tv every week getting an understanding of how your fans feel. Can’t actually believe you’re on the brink of going down.

Despite what some may think, I honestly hope you stay up. Banter aside I’d rather have Everton in the prem than ming tory clubs like Leicester any day.

My mums family are all match going home & away blues and they’d be devastated which I clearly don’t want. To be honest, most reds I know don’t want Everton to go either. It’d just be weird not having the derby.

Fancy you to slap wolves anyway and 3 points will be enough to see you up.

Good luck blues

Everton a sleeping giant? If anything by recent developments and results, Everton is more like a comatosed giant on life support

Agree with this, it doesn't go down well with those who lived through the 80s but it's sadly true

We don't have a successful recent history and have been making up the numbers for quite a while, even when moyes got us playing our best football of the premiership years we achieved nothing trophies wise, only one cup final

We aren't a nothing club but we have achieved very little for 30 years

Football has changed significantly though during this period and it's a lot harder to win anything now, villa have been in the same boat and spurs up to 15 years without a trophy

I think some of @Jamiednm odd posting history may merit further analysis

Think Villa have a great chance in Europe next season if they qualify, Emery just knows how to win those competitions.

This is what happens when you run a big club like an NFL franchise that can rebuild through the draft five years from now when the championship window closes.

For a start, no club is a nothing club, it’s a BS term, where I live I’m surrounded by Luton and Watford fans who have 1 major trophy between them - but their support is superb and the clubs have been going 100+ years, how is that nothing?

Secondly, when people say “nothing club” they often mean trophies. If the likes of Everton, Spurs and Villa are nothing clubs then there are only 5 “actual” clubs in the entire country.

It’s utter nonsense
