Generally trophies inc European trophies, League Cups and FA cups….or do they not count now?

There are only two actual "Major Trophies" which are the League Title and European Cup. All others are 2nd rate ones and there is no way that a League Cup can be classed as the equal of a League Title.

Even the CL now is devalued by having non title winners involved. Liverpool and Chelsea have both won it in the last 20 years despite having disappointing league seasons, although despite that I'd still class the current CL in the same prestigious category as a Title.

Was watching the Europa league final last season, chatting with some German Frankfurt fans, told them I was an Everton fan and they thought we were just some small club in Liverpool's shadow. When I told them between 84-87 we were the best team in England they didn't believe me lol

Neither would I. 84-85 the RS won League, League Cup and European Cup. You could definitely make a case foe 85-87 though.

The decline of this club, and many like it before is down to what the 'Premiership' has become.

Might I refer you to the highlighted parts below. It explains a lot about what is wrong with football today. @Curtis This is not meant as a dig at you. It is just the way it is these days and why I have come to realise that it's just a game and supporting Everton does not define me (anymore).

Dave we haven't been a football super power for decades, had some seasons where we were on the fringes of success but look at Southampton and Leceister , Southampton was placed in 6th and 7th couple of years back , with leciester they have attained significantly more in recent years then we have (league title, FA cup) and both are on the verge of relegation due to lack of consistency. Even though Everton's history is vastly superior it was over thirty years ago when we were winning titles , young upcoming fans in search of a club aren't impressed by those ancient achievements that occurred when they just born or before then. Younger fans are focused on recent accomplishments, reputation and team play not on nostalgia, I'd say on a worldwide scale due to massive ineptitude in properly building our brand , Brighton is poised to expand the club's profile to a larger extent than Everton could ever conceive. We basically have to engage in a rebirth to even have a chance to be competitive once again and that involves purging kenwright and moshiri

What’s funny about that? The point is you tend to rely on statistics that show us in a good light…metrics should be used objectively so we are 4th most successful if the only metric you are going off is top division titles

I'd swap our trophy list for Chelsea's in a heartbeat. They are WAY more successful than us despite less league titles.

Devalued? It's even harder to win it now as there are more teams in it. Kicking out either Barca or Real doesn't give it more value.
