If we stay up it won't be down to what Dyche has done, it will be down to the fact that other teams have been dreadful Leeds and Leicester.

That game yesterday Wolves who have absolutely nothing to play for and we desperately get a 99th min equaliser
Next week Bournemouth at home in front of a packed Goodison, AGAIN who have nothing to play for, hand on heart who has us down for a win?

Yeah but that’s not all down to Dyche either. He’s taken over an absolutely turd squad which has no real attacking prowess and is decimated with injuries.

You do realise his striking options are all championship standard don’t you?

I just have a feeling it's going to be decided on goal difference

Desperate for a Newcastle win to give me some sleep this week without constantly being adamant we're going down.

If Newcastle win, barring a big Leeds victory by three clear goals, a draw does us fine.

Obviously playing for a draw is incredibly risky and I'd hope Dyche plans to take the game to Bournemouth from the start. The last thing we need is the players going in at half time and seeing we're in the bottom three and their arses going.

Not that he's any good, but desperate for Mykolenko to be back so we can use McNeil in his most effective position.

If we cannot avoid defeat with a back five of Pickford, Holgate, Mina, Tarkowski and Mykolenko when our life is on the line then we aren't worthy of a seat at the big table anyway.

Nonsense. We were buried under Lampard, and results are much better with mostly tougher fixtures under Dyche. Bournemouth home will only be the second home game we've had against a bottom half side under Dyche: Lampard pissed away almost all of our easiest opportunities to rack up points with losses to the likes of Leicester, Southampton and Wolves at home.

You don't think staying up will have anything to do with Dyche? Nothing to do with beating Arsenal at home? Nothing to do with beating Brighton 5-1 away? Nothing to do with grinding out points against Chelsea and Spurs when under Lampard we'd have thrown in the towel? He's not been perfect, but in terms of what's achievable with the squad of players we've got I'm not sure anyone else does much better.
