I was there for Wimbledon and Coventry, horrible, every minute felt like an hour. It’s why I really didn’t want it to come to this. Again.

The players have to step up. Bournemouth will try to keep the ball, quieten the crowd, agitate to affect the atmosphere. Our players have to see through that, step up the intensity and force them into mistakes.
This Isn't just our most important game, This Is Dyche's most important game, he has a week knowing exactly what we need, how Bournemouth set up and play there system. It is now that he has to prove himself, he also has Goodison behind him to do there part.

Show us your the man Dyche !! And we will show you the Love !!

This Bournemouth game is without question the biggest match in the history of our great club.

Everything is riding on this: not just the imminent investment and the replacement of Moshiri and the current regime, but the new stadium, the status of our grand old team as a top-flight club... and quite possibly our club's very existence. We are in a parlous financial state currently, but if we go down it could spell the end.

We simply must win. If we draw and Leicester win against a weak West Ham XI we are down. We have to win this.

If that means us fans getting behind our players from the first minute to the last then so be it. In fairness to the players I can't fault their work ethic and their perseverance. We saw that in abundance against Wolves. But are they good enough to beat this Bournemouth side, a side that has already beaten us by 3 clear goals on two occasions this season? We will find out.

All we as fans can do is get Goodison rocking for what might well be the Grand Old Lady's last ever top division match. Win, Everton. Win.

Horrible, of course.

If you told me the day Fraudulent Fan-Friendly Frank was sacked that we would be two points clear of our nearest rivals with a home game to come on the final day, I'd have savaged your arm and begun digesting your torso.
Good point.

In late January we could never have dreamed of being in such a position going into the last weekend of the season.

That's testament to the great work of Dyche and the willingness of the players to take on board his instruction.

it'a relief to know what's needed to stay up.

i'm not going to have sleepless nights thinking about the permutations of the leicester and leeds games.

simply put, if we can't beat b'mouth at a pumped up goodison then we deserve to go down.

i believe we will and i hope that dyche puts the team on the front foot early on, because the longer the game goes on without us scoring, the more chance there is of a capitulation.

If all teams are 40-30-30 odds on last day, for arguments sake,

Chances of us winning: 40%
Chances of us drawing 30% while Leicester don't win 60%= 18%
Chances of us losing 30% while Leicester don't win 60% and Leeds don't win 60%= 11% or so

69% chance. And I'll give leeds a 2% joker to do spurs by 3 in scenario 2

then take back cos for us being better than these lot. 70%

We're all playing at home and say what you want but our fans will drag them the extra mile, the others won't, they've tasted the Championship very recently, we never have. We're petrified of it, they'll be annoyed by it.

Everton are not in any reality a Championship club and our fans won't allow that to happen, the same cannot be said for the other two, that's the facts of the situation.
Bang on.

Needing a draw I had a feeling Dyche would have us sitting deep from the off and letting Bournemouth have the ball and that would never have ended well. We need a noisy, up for it Goodison and a high tempo game plan.
Dyche will surely feel compelled to really go for it in light of Leicester's result.

Dyche needs to go for it. A win brings us certainty that we're safe - it's in our hands. A draw may be enough, but we're then reliant on Leicester not winning.

I would not be banking on that at all, so let's push us over the line ourselves without having to hope and pray they do a favour.

Leeds are only -3 too on GD as well, so a swing of us losing by -1 and them winning by +2 (not impossible against Spurs) would push them ahead on goals scored.

We may not NEED to win in the purest sense of probabilities, but in reality we need to win to make sure this doesn't swing away from us.

….really don’t get this ‘go for it’ view. We have a way of playing that allows us to win games without attacking creativity & quality. The loss of DCL means we have to remain circumspect rather than throw the game away. Bournemouth carry genuine threat.

i know it’s still in our hands but I can’t help feeling disappointed after last nights result.

One last day this season to go where I'll be pinning my hopes on other teams bad results more than having faith in our ability to get a good one for ourselves.

I won't be surprised at all if either us, Leicester and Leeds all lose on Sunday any more than I will be if we all win.

All I can say for certain is that my nerves are already shot.

Bournemouth has 39 points and is -33 on goal differential. The fact that so many people believe that Everton won't beat them at home with everything on the line truly indicates how bad most believe this squad actually is. Not that they are wrong. It is just sad that a team with this payroll could be this awful.
We all know Bournemouth will be 1 up within 10 minutes
