I’m more worried about idiots running onto the pitch if we score. No matter the age, life time bans for every single one who does. The club is bigger than us all and we don’t need idiots running on during the game. That only distracts our players.
Unless they can play full back.

I agree, however this same idiocy did imprint an image in my mind that will never leave ...

ots sad that this is all most Evertonians want from their team - to put a shift in. It really should be the base level requirement.

They do put a shift in though.

They are just collectively not very good at football.
which is why many if not most people are mainly angry at the board and recruitment team and not the playing staff (well I'm not, anyway).

the point was, however, no running on the pitch I agree with, but this would never have existed if that was true for all time.

same story the white horse picture (Wembley IIRC)

Agree with that. I cant point the finger at anyone not trying. As much as he is just a pundit alan shearer summed Everton up perfectly the other day with the game at wolves.
"Lots of effort, very little quality"

Just having five minutes walk down memory lane …
No full backs ( possibly ) and no centre fireworks so if we could take a step back in time who are the candidates to slot in ?
Full backs ,
Mitch Ward , Tony Thomas , Paul Holmes , Marc Hottiger , John O’Kane , Allesandro Pistone , Steve Sargeant
Centre Fireworks ,
John Spencer , Mikel Madar , Brett Angel , Mick Ferguson , Stuart Barlow , Mickey Walsh , Jim Pearson , David Smallman , Eammon O’Keefe
Just something to lighten the stress people …
Personal , honest choice would be ;
Right back , Gary Stevens
Left back , Leighton Baines
Centre Forward , Bob Latchford .
Full backs agreed, forward Sharp in his hey day as we dont have a Dave Thomas quality for a Latchford unfortunately

Let’s be honest, if Newcastle won you’d be saying we’d draw and Leeds would beat Spurs 3-0. You’d just fatalise regardless of the scenario.

….glad you know what I’d be saying.

The truth is, I’d be saying nothing of the sort. I actually fancy us to draw on Sunday, which would’ve been fine had Newcastle won. I can’t see Leeds winning by 3.
