weird watching that game abroad with mainly Leeds fans but they looked much the better team. Saying that, they did that last season but lost games they looked like winning. Villa look ordinary but are accumulating points.

Ultimately it’s about what we do. We need to win 6 or 7 games to give us a chance. Amazing what back-to-back wins do when you think about that target.
We looked the better team to Wolves a few weeks ago. It means nothing.

As you say, it's what we do now.

If we can get 3 points tomnorrow and a signing in next week this looks far better.

When he was asked about transfers, he said that January is not the best window and he had to work within certain parameters, but the club was looking for players to add competition in the forward places. That may mean nothing but it implies, in my opinion, that he’s already conceded that he will not be able to attract players who will go straight into the first team. It suggests he’s worried that he will only be able to afford / attract 1-2 players of the calibre we already have.

I think hes managing expectations. I dont think there will be many top performers available in Jan, but we will have to take a gamble.

I'm not really that pro Frank either but a bit more of a realist. I'd still sack him, but can see some sense in him staying.

We need something up front. I know you dont like him, but if we kept Dominic Calvert-Lewin fit (which we wont) he makes a big difference. Nobody can sign better than what he brings if hes right, and we cant. I watched the lad Wolves bought for 50m or whatever, and honestly not for me.

But yes it's a gamble, and the club have to gamble and hope something is right. Everyone is gambling. In unflavoured players, or players that are young etc. I see people kicking off about Southampton, the fella is 30, has 2 in 27 for Croatia, and has never played in a league that is as good as the championship. Maybe he comes good, but it's a gamble.
I'm not particularly an advocate of FL's now. If he stays and we turn it, I'll be pleased for him. But if we get loose tomorrow and we get beaten with naive tactics I want him gone by the evening.

Calvert-Lewin is a waste of time mate. He cant be relied on. We're down if we go with just him.

Wolves are not definitely safe, it’s just a prediction. They are playing well, they have that thing about them where you know they are going to get a result where people wouldn’t expect them to, like last week, let’s face it they were robbed at anfield. We will probably go there and roll over as is our annual tradition.

If we are needing 6/7 wins from our last 20, well something has to change massively because we have won 1 in 12. The numbers don’t lie, something has to change.

Think huge worry for me is the scale of task team are leaving for themselves at Goodison now.

Not win tomorrow and they'll be 9 home games left. To equal last season's tally would then have to win 7 of the last 9 and remote chance of that with all of Arsenal, Man. City, Newcastle and Spurs still to visit.

Still also have to win another game away to match last season's terrible away haul of two wins from 19. West Ham is huge but has a feel of pack the side with defenders and come away with a point. After that I think it's RS, Chelsea, Arsenal and Man. United all in a row.

Probably have to hope play a mid table team in May with little to play for like Leicester last season which was good timing for that fixture. Palace fits the category.

11 wins is looking a very tall order currently and that was only just enough to scrape over the line on the final Thursday of the season. Tomorrow simply has to be the fourth.

9 wins will probably do it this time but it seems like hard yards

Just seen a tweet saying 60 points to play for this season.... I started thinking we need 25 points from them 60.

Whats our record so far? 15 points from 54, we nearly need to double what we done in the 1st half of the season with same players and it appears the same manager.... can`t see anything other than relegation unless some big players come in or the manager goes out.

No argument here pal, just stating that Leeds look a better outfit than our bunch and have more drive.

Fair does mate.

They look nice in the eye Leeds, but tend to lose a lot of games. They remind me a bit of us under Martinez, but worse. I could see them struggling, I seem to remember them last season having an awful run mid/late season from a higher base.

Could be a reality this season for sure but it's there is still alot to play for. Can't help but feel a more experienced manager could get alot more out of this squad. I really don't think it's a bottom 3 team on paper. I do think if Lampard loses today a more experienced manager could come in and get around 1.3 pts per game with smart tactics. 19 games - 6 wins 7 draws 6 losses.

40 points will probably finish 13th. It will likely need 31/32. Which is doable. 40 points, feels less so.

Rafael was sacked with 19 points from 19 games...

Lampard, even with a win today can not reach that despite adding 8 or 9 of his own players. He has to go, if we keep the status quo we go down, this squad is capable of more but the manager and coaching team is not good enough.
