Cant go down, have you seen how hard it is to get back up... And how many teams get relegated once or twice more.
Rubbish. Fulham. Norwich etc do it most seasons. Yo yo clubs although for once Fulham have performed an unforseen miracle this season. Look at the top 6 in Div 2. Same old names.

A lot of former players have stayed pretty quiet the past two weeks. Given the situation you would think they would have some opinions on what is, one of the most difficult periods in the clubs history. Instead they choose silence. Their choice I guess.

We’re not set up at all to be a yo-yo club. We go down and we’re taking an unprecedented wage bill into the championship, we are absolutely screwed.

Most of those played under Kewnright's regime of mediocrity. Southall had it right: when they've made finishing 7th a success, it's no wonder standards have collapsed.

Norwich are a yo yo club because they set up to do that. They never spend outwith their means, we have spent like a CL club for multiple seasons. We are fecked.

I would imagine those teams go down with a small wages budget mate so can keep those players to try and bring the right back up, ours is huge, something like the 7th biggest in the prem?

Peter Reid and Kevin Ratcliffe in particular , nothing really.

I don’t want to have a go at them , you would think they would say something regardless of what their views are. To stay quiet like that, it’s disappointing

The only hope am holding on to is. When Villa looked terrible sacked slippy. Then got an actual manager they started to look like a football team again. I hope that happens here when we give Frank the boot.
Villa had a clear, cohesive plan and put an ambitious, attractive project to a top class manager with a winning pedigree. We're ambling between the likes of Sean Dyche and a Moyes return as we circle the dain without a rudder. Big difference.

There's also the apathy and delusion of the fans to add to the mix. I mean, the embarrassing cloying pining for Moyes. In a world of managers, too many of our supporters cling to the tried, trusted, and failed familiarities of the past.

We are like HSV in Germany when they finally went down the drain after circling the plughole for years. Apathetic, inert, and stuck in the past. No way out now.

Everything about it is relegation. I look at Gray and think back to the Moyes era and how we'd view a player like that in those times. The type of winger who we'd have been worried about producing a moment of brilliance against us but would never have dreamed of signing because you know he's too inconsistent. He's now our best attacker. Sums it up.
A poor man’s Kevin Miralllas.
