Easier said than done

Forest were down 22 years and went down to league 1

Leeds were down 16 years and went down to league 1

Villa were down 3 years and almost went bankrupt
We are a very different case in that we have a lot more debt than any of those clubs had.

It would be a crying shame for Goodison’s last ever game to be a lower league game.

Having said that, we might have to stay at Goodison. That’s if it can continue to get its safety certificate.

How can we afford to build this new stadium in the lower divisions?

Ah i dunno we still have decent talent in the squad and theres 18 matches left alot can still happen, i think its the manager is the problem in the short term need someone to come in and start getting more out of the players, but we are deep in it thats for sure
Where is this talent? I honestly don't see it. Im not saying that Lampard doesn't hold some blame, he does, but the squad is rammed full of poor footballers. If we were Southampton or Wolves for example, how many would you want us buy?

Come on if we go down there will be other clubs trying to scavenge the bones of our squad, lots of players more out of form than anything.. if we go down we will struggle to hold onto Onana, Iwobi, Pickford,Patterson probably even Gordon

There is no saviour this year. Last year we had Richardson and the prospect of Calvert Lewin returning. There’s no hope this year. Nor are we on a bad run like last year that’s going to end. We’re exactly where we deserve to be.

Management has sucked but the Academy has also completely failed to produce any impact guys in a long time. They send multiple young guys out on loan every year and none of those guys ever ends up being a long term fixture.

I think we'd be fine in the championship, Leeds were bust when they went down and didnt have any parachute payments
All depends on how well prepared we were, in terms of getting players off the books and bringing the right people in who know the league etc, but at this club, honestly who knows. Could be a complete panic firesale, end up with a mess of a squad with no idea what we're doing because no one at the top has a clue and next thing you know "title favourites Everton" have "done a Sunderland" instead of a Newcastle.

Pickford is a good player and will go. Onana was good yesterday but has hardly set the world alight. Selling him has a good chance of being a loss. Iwobi won't go for much. He doesn't score or assist. Patterson and Gordon have potential, nothing more, and I'd question whether Gordon even has much of that.

There is very little talent here and results reflect that.

With the contracts their on, id say we have a decent chance of keeping most of them, to get back up at the first attempt is key

And how many of them will want to play in the second tier if they can get moves to Prem clubs? If we were to be relegated, I imagine the vast majority of our squad would be wanting to jump ship ASAP, unless they couldn't get a better contract anywhere else of course.

In fact if we were to be relegated, we'd absolutely have to ship quite a lot of them out. Not a chance we could take the 7th highest Prem wage bill into the 2nd division and tell the players "you're staying to get us back up".

All the ingredients are there.

Board turning on fans, fans frustration with the owner and board finally spilling over.

Fans turning on players, manager and also on each other.

A perfect storm. A broken football club.
