To be fair we’ve played the worst side in the division twice and haven’t played the best side once yet.

I'd rather play a load of midtable teams than those at the bottom. The former will have zero to fight for in the next few weeks or so...neither getting relegated or getting Euro spots.

At the moment we are the team most likely for relegation, I don't know how much longer it can go on like this as it it must be as obvious to those in charge of the club as it is to the rest of us which way we are going.

Even if we are not active in the transfer market I don't think relegation is inevitable but maybe we need somebody else in charge to make that happen.

Just depressing seeing those around us all strengthening. Bournemouth looking like they've edge us to Dango. We're gonna end up with Antonio on deadline dah who will get injured in his first game. I'm starting my prayers in earnest.

I couldnt believe Lampard didnt go after the Bournemouth games with a 6 week break.... then I was convinced he was going after Wolves, then Brighton and then Man Utd.... lost to Southampton I thought he must gone now with us off bottom by virtue of goal difference....

So he gets the West Ham game! We`ve thrown away 3 premier league games or a chance to fight for them 9 points with a better manager and now he is going to throw away another 3 points at West Ham.... ANOTHER 12 points down the drain beacuse of a clueless and inept board.

Lampard has 15 points from a possible 54, absolutely dire, the new manager will get 18 games, of them 18....

2 v Arsenal H&A
Liverpool A
Chelsea A
Spurs H
Man Utd A
Newcastle H
Brighton A
Man City H
=9 that is half of them which we are almost certainly not getting points from

9 winnable games, what do we need from them? We need to WIN ALL OF THEM bar 1 which is 24/25 points

How far from safety will we be after losing to West Ham, Arsenal and Liverpool? I think we could be 5 points from safety and that is game over

100% mate.

I get laughed at on these forums for thinking outside the box sometimes. But I think the ideal candidate at the moment is Ralph hassenhuttl. I think we need someone who can get surprise results and do it with a weak squad.

He had Southampton in around mid table for a number of years often pulling off shock wins at big clubs. He was always inconsistent but considering Southampton always sold their best players and had a low budget they did as well as could be reasonable expected and they are doing worse now that Jones has taken over.

I think he's the kind of manager who we need right now and can get something out of these players and keep them up.

Unfortunately the board aren't very clever so will probably hire a flavour of the month manager. But if you look at what Eddie howe is doing and at what moyes did originally at West ham. Sometimes a manager who has been sacked but actually been sacked unfairly after doing a good job can be a perfect manager to hire.

On the face of it hassenhuttl did an excellent job at Southampton with a poor squad and low budget and has the kind of mentality that can galvanise a team currently very low on morale.
Good shout.

Either way, Frank has got to go. I love the guy and I love the fact that he has such a great rapport with us fans, but lose the next two and we’ll be very much in a relegation battle. At the moment we’re only a couple of points off 14th, but we can soon be cut adrift.
