Can this thread now be closed? Or too early.....:)

Im putting a bet on Everton smashing Liverpool at Anfield. Will be all too much for the gobshites and therefore Everton will put Klopp to the sword, sacked in the morning, with us being responsible for getting rid of another RS manager! LOL

Massive 3 points yesterday with a mixed bag of results for the clubs around us. I’d been saying we’d get at least 2 points from Arsenal and Liverpool and we’re there already

The key to the season is still going to be the next 3 very winnable home games (though if we play like yesterday all of them will be). If we get another 8 points from the next 5 games then we’ll have 26 points from 26 games.

That would mean that we only have to average a point a game from there to get 38 (or 4 wins from 12 if you want to put it a different way)and almost certainly stay up. Can’t believe we’re having to do all of this maths again
Exactly this, I think the key is getting to the 1.00 PPG....

I`m sure most would have taken 2 points from the Arsenal and the RS, we have 3 but can we improve on that? I`m sure Dyche won`t be resting on any laurels.

I certainly feel a little happier to today but there is obviously a way to go. I think Bournemouth and Southampton will go but it’s that third team , I think maybe forest but they’re doing ok . A draw today probably keeps both Leeds and forest honest .

Too early I think, we all feel good now after 1 win, we have 18 points from 21 games! If we use the 40 point mark we need 22 points from the next 17 (1.3 PPG), it may not go as high as 40 but to be guaranteed........

I think other teams will be convinced that dyche led everton will get out of this now.

I would have taken one point from arsenal and liverpool tbf.

There are going to be up and downs but you can see the players have brought into dyche, unlike Lampard he does have a CV that mostly back up that his methods work.

The key for us will be keeping our key players fit. If Onana , Iwobi, dcl can stay fit for most of our games then I reckon we will have enough. Dyche will be targeting that run of games after anfield to get some big points.

Only if we follow them up with more. Everyone said the same with the point at City and we followed that up with home defeats to Wolves and Southampton. I hope that in the fullness of time we can say they are because they were symbolic of the start of Dyche’s tenure
Difference to the City game is we had one shot which happened to be a worldy. Yesterday, we were the better team. Massively surprising for me and massively encouraging.

Great start and we do have a great record with managers winning their first game, this might have been one of the hardest games tho for a new manager.

We still have the same squad who have let us down over and over. Going to be up and down this season but we have a chance to stay up.

I didn't want Dyche at first, I'm warming to him and hope he proves I'm a tit for dismissing him.

Because there’s no standout bad side per se, I have a feeling we might need more points than last season to stay up, so who knows, it could be around the 40 mark that’s needed.

I fancy Bournemouth to sack their manager too, they can’t keep losing.

I’ve got a mate whose a palace fan and he’s adamant they’ll get drawn into it .

Was telling me they’ve sacked Sean Derry from the back room staff saying there are issues there and also , and I haven’t really checked , that they’ve got a tough run of fixtures ahead until the end of March .
