Can’t see Man U. losing this, Leeds looks so sloppy defensively.

Personally I can’t see 35 being enough this time. I don’t see any of the teams above us getting that low of a points total. Hanging my hopes on Leeds.

Knowing us it'll be like that weird season when West Ham went down on 42 points ?

We need to just concentrate on what we are doing and forget others imo. We can do anything about what goes on in other games, save the panic stations for our matches!

Does anyone think its a bit arrogant to think we are getting 40 points nailed on, 100%...

IMO that is a high target, signs are encouraging but I`m not saying we are safe after 1 Dyche game and a point from safety with Liverpool away up next! We could be 4 points from safety after this weekend....

I desperately hope 40 is well enough because it’s highly unlikely we are getting there. 22 points from 17 would be a massive turnaround for a team with no decent forwards. Be chuffed if it’s 35. Just think it’s highly unlikely due to the lack of bottom feeders this year.

The last time to date 40 points didn't keep you safe. In 1998 Bolton got about 40 and still went down, as well as Sunderland the season before. Back then staying up was well tough.

West Ham took ages to win an away fixture, so it was justified really.

I think 40 points might not be enough. I only see Leeds and maybe Forest (who currently only need 16 points to get to 40) as the teams who we can finish above. Leeds are just as capable of getting to 40 as we are. They have far better forward options than us.

Not a chance 40 isn't enough. It's more likely you stay up with 28 than go down with 40. It will be 33-36 range IMO.
