Jeez! Don't you ever stop getting off about the 'great start' to last season under your hero the FSW?
We got points, but played absolute crap for the most of the first four games and somehow managed to scab 10 points. Then reality set in and we got, what was it, something like 9 points from the next 45 played for. Bounced out of the Cups far too easily. All under the heroic Benitez.

Forget the 'good start' of last season and look at reality instead. This club has been in a tail spin since Calos knew he was off to Madrid in the January 21. The 'great start' of the 21/22 soon burnt out and the re-building of confidence did not take place until that oaf was bulleted. Though you insist on clinging to some unfathomable notion that Benitez was a messiah. Tell me again, how did we do after the 'great start'? We did not do too well, did we.

Now I am not a huge Lampard fan, but I accept we are seeing more desire and a fitter team than for the ENTIRE reign of Benitez. Something I fear you cannot. A non-medically induced form of scotoma.
A fitter team...LOL

That Leeds result should be setting alarm bells ringing around the club.

Chelsea dominated us for the most part and Leeds have just battered them.

I know we were without a striker, but there's no way we could repeat what Leeds did there.

We need a quality striker plus another one and we need Gueye or similar - minimum...and that's just to give us a fighting chance of staying out of the bottom three.

There are no Burnley's or Norwich's or Watford's this season...no fodder to go down with ease.

Don't think we can achieve this without selling AG unfortunately

Look at the entire post and tell me if the 'great' start' continued. If it had then we would have been Premier champions, and not relegation fodder, by January.
To your point, from my seat in the LGS the team does seem fitter as the last gasp goal and effort by Gordon appear to vindicate.

Why are you going on about Rafael? Get over it, we have problems this season and plenty of things going on now to talk about, move on.
Last season we stayed up by 4 points, we're allready 6 points worse and if we lost yesterday apparently it would of been our worst start for 31 years.

My response was to you comment regarding our great start to last season. As you never denied being a 'fan' of the rotund one, I assumed you were using the comparison as a stick to beat Lampard with.
If I mis-read your meaning then I apologise and blame old age and the heat.

Reading your last sentence makes me realise I went off on a tandem and makes me realise I was wrong.

Fair play mate

It’s soul destroying this afternoon watching average teams like Leeds and Newcastle playing really good stuff.. just makes me realise how bad and how far behind we are!!

Poor recruitment.
But lets not forget the snobbery of some of our fans to the likes of Graham Potter and Eddie Howe taking over at this club.
God knows where that snobbery comes from.
