Perhaps too early but this group of players are used to losing, they`ve lost 33 of the last 60 games, winning just 15. WON 15 of the last 60 games....

The direction of travel is clear, I` m not sure a run like that can be turned, we saw Lampard came in last season we got something like a 1 game bounce, failure to beat Leeds will prove history repeating itself. We really need this bounce to last longer than under Lampard.....

One of my criticism of Lampard is that he changed the shape of the team and personnel every week, Howe kept consistency which is how I think Dyche might go. That could be beneficial but our players just arent good enough and there is a massive lack of goals!

Totally heartbroken to see the club in this mess, its just a mess from top to bottom, I`m losing hope. Anxious and nervous for today.......
Yes our survival will be dependent on Dyche out managing his peers with less resources. If we are to stay up we will need a run of results somewhere. I was a bit disappointed to see the Arsenal rearranged for where it was because if this team were to string 3 results together (say 7 points out of 9) Leeds, Villa and Forest would have been the best chance

I was thinking that this time last year, but we’d get 50 million for Onana, 30 million for Pickford, 20 for Kean even if Juve don’t cough up. Plus 40 banked in January from Gordon. That will plug the financial black hole for next season and should leave change for some signings, the relegation premium is estimated to be about 90 million. I accept we’d need to come straight back up though to avoid meltdown.
It’s really important people remember relegation, while obviously a bad thing, isn’t the end of the club or likely to lead to some of the more extreme disaster scenarios. It’s not oblivion, clubs can and do financially cope with it, the system with three years of healthy parachute payments is designed to stop clubs from “doing a Leeds”.

There are assets we can sell like you say, and the last couple of years of belt tightening, while they’ve got us into this situation, also means we are in a much better position to cope financially if the worst happens. Even though it didn’t help the team, trousering the Gordon money goes a long way to cushioning the blow of relegation should it happen.

Yeah, relegation would be a terrible thing but for people’s own sanity it doesn’t need to be catastrophised further into free fall / oblivion / liquidation. We are far better positioned for, and the system is designed for, stabilising and bouncing back up like, say, Villa did.

Do Arsenal just flatter to deceive? They've been rubbish since we beat them. Hard to know if it means anything for us.
