Howe is a quality manager btw, an Everton fan too. Bizarrely dumped on here because he didn’t win the league with Bournemouth.
He’s another on a long list of players and managers who are deemed ‘not good enough for Everton lad, give your head a wobble’. I won’t mention their names, but five of them have scored cracking goals already this season.

3rd favourites to go down according to the bookies

NURSE!

I thought that was a joke, but its real.

No of course we aren’t.

But our next 4 games are Leeds and Brentford away, Liverpool and Arsenal.

We will be bottom after those games.
Before the season started there was one of those polls to see how many points we would have after the first 6 games. The majority had us between 9 and 12 points. I predicted ONE. I stand by that forecast.

I think Forest will be ok once their new signings bed in.

That leaves Bournemouth as the only team more likely to go down.

That is the extra challenge this year. Usually there are two teams that finish sub 35 points and are looking doomed by New Year's day. None of the other teams Everton will battle besides Bournemouth look to be that team. This feels like a year where there is a lot of balance in the projected bottom half meaning survival with 37 points won't happen and you may need 42. Everton needs to find 11+ wins somewhere and if home to Forest isn't one of them, the chances are not good.

It's all the more worrying that last season the fans saved the club towards the end with some phenomenal support. I just can't see the same thing happening this time round because a number of fans will start turning on the manager and the feel good factor and impact will be gone.

We desperately need 4 players in who improve the side and fast or we are doomed for sure. Keeping Gordon when a team is offering 45 million is crazy

Didn't think we would beat Chelsea or Villa but shipping goals (whilst supposedly improving our defence) and having no striker is a recipe for disaster. Failure to beat a newly promoted team at home is very worrying.

Been saying it for a while, I don't think FL is up to the job. Didn't really rate him and only wanted him as anyone would be better than FSW at the time. If we're in the bottom three come Nov the board will have no choice but roll the dice again.

I'm desperate for things to work out for him and I'm hoping I'm proven wrong.

Sadly, management is a bit like the South Park underpants gnomes:

Phase 1: get 45 million
Phase 2: ?
Phase 3: avoid relegation

Everton was the 7th highest spender a year ago and barely stayed up. They are basically building an attack from scratch. The volume of people being considered tells me there is no clear plan.
