If we go with what we have at the moment we are going down. No one is convincing me this current squad is capable of staying up. There has to be additions, even if Gordon stays.
Based on the players we are being linked with we are preparing for a possible relegation by signing players like Dias, Che Adams, Garner who will be prepared to do a year in the championship.
Seems so to me to and I would add others to like Patterson, Mykolenko, Tarkowski. And then we already have championship standard players like Holgate, Coleman and Godfrey.
I can never recall an Everton season seemingly come off the rails as quickly as this one seems to be headed.

I make us getting two points max from the next four games.

Which would make four points from seven games.

Pure relegation stuff.

Even in Mike Walker’s season I never felt this negative this soon.
This thread needs to be pinned because it’s becoming more likely by the day.

We are now up to 4 winnable games without a striker and probably 1 point in total.
Might as well pin this thread
Have yet to see anyone worse than us, that is the worry for me.

Getting the feeling of inevitability this season.
Two quality midfielders and two quality forwards or we go down. It really is that simple.
That's optimism in its purest form. There is zero evidence that we'll be fine.
Lads, did any of you take part in this survey?

I didn't lol

Wouldn't have had us 20th but not surprised to see us there. Expectations are currently rock bottom this season.

Not having Gerrard has a 94% confidence backing at Villa though. A handy forward and even we would have beat them.

a team of

Pickford

Coady Tarkowski Mykolenko

Patterson Gana Onana Iwobi Vinagre

Maupay Calvert-Lewin

and bench of

Begovic
Coleman
Godfrey
Holgate
Garner
Doucoure
McNeil
Gray
Kudus
Brereton-Diaz

would see us maintain PL status.
we don’t have like 4 of these players though so it’s gonna be a bit difficult

I don't know which way to go in this debate ,but i was looking for a big improvement at the back .With the players we bought at least a clean sheet.

We have an overall better squad than last season, we’ve played better in our league games than a lot of last season.
Our team are not under the cosh the whole game and running scared, like last season.
Richarlison has gone but goal wise I can see someone coming in to replace that. It was only 9 goals, We should have DCL for more games than last season.

It is fine to laugh, but can you explain why? As things stand at the moment, we are the worst team in the league by some margin, and still dawdling and dithering. If there aren't 4/5 quality additions by the time the window closes we are in huge trouble
Apologies if this is bait, mate but this tells a different story, especially as this is Everton without a striker and players still coming in.

No thats fine to point out, no worries. Just at the moment I see those teams around us picking up points. I dont see that for us at the moment
I reckon that we will kick on soon as soon as the window is closed, players are in and the distraction it (the window) brings is put to bed.

It wouldn't be Everton if there wasn't a drama and our parents willing brought us into this situation!

Being an Everton fan is a bit like growing up in a home before the divorce finally happens, and trying to make sense of what is happening around you.

I’ll see you in may, bro when we aren’t relegated, despite your “inevitability “
