We WILL lose on Saturday. I’ve put £20 on them at 9-2. I hope I lose my money but we’re only not right in it at the moment because we’ve somehow got over 30 points. But we could easily be in relegation trouble if we don’t get a win in the next 3 or 4. We are utter crap and it’s baffling…
Football fans post awful lot of utter tripe at times

4 wins, 4 draws, 37pts.

Survival.

That’s my prediction.

We don't draw enough games, let alone win. But if we can turn that around then the above may be enough and doable. We did turn things around last season but circumstances feel different this time. Could be done vs

4 Wins - Fulham H, Brentford H, Palace A, Bournemouth H
4 Draws - Forest A, Newcastle H, Leicester A, Wolves A

Just can't see us only losing 5 more either.

As a fan base we have to try and make Goodison the bear pit and hope that helps somewhat. Ultimately it's down to the players and manager to find a way to win, even though the board has made it as difficult as possible
Agreed. That's how we stayed up last season. From a much worse position than this.

As that dunce of an owner would say, that was an expected defeat. Lose against Forest and things will be looking ominous indeed.

Our only hope of survival is to play ultra defensive, nick a goal and then just try and hold out and scrape some wins. It's very hard to win games of football though, when you don't have strikers!
Playing ultra defensively against our relegation rivals is a great way to ensure we go down.

We were in a much worse situation last season after the loss to Burnley.
We are absolutely in the mix. But so are about 6/7 more.
Not sure if I agree. The difference is, even with the loss to Burnley, it still felt like they were one of the worst three teams in the league. Where as this season, I get the feeling we are one of the three worst.

As pessimistic as I was after that loss to Burnley we still had goals in the team.

No one could turn this around given the attacking options we have. If we brought Dyche in following the World Cup, we still wouldn't have scored any goals. And we wouldn't have taken a point off City b/c Gray wouldn't have even been on the pitch.

Our attackers are mind-numbingly terrible

How does our board not bring ANYONE in in January?

That's a rhetorical question - don't answer that
I'll answer it, anyway. I think offers were made, but nobody wanted to come.

Look at the table that night and the fixtures that were up next.

Sunday at 2pm. Mrs BR and I will be at Dublin Airport awaiting flight to Brussels for a nice 3 night break there and in Brugge.

Might catch first 30 minutes before boarding:oops:

Caught a flight mid Everton game once. We were 2-0 up v Man United, then I was interrupted by a 5 hour flight. Obviously had no phone connection, so fretted about it for the whole journey.

Finally found out the score after landing. We lost 2-3.
