I did this prediction thing when SD took over, i had us on 7 points from the games we played so far and we did get 7 points, the rest of the prediction will put us on 39 points, as things stand, 34 points is needed to avoid the drop

H - Arsenal - 0
A - Liverpool - 0
H - Leeds - 3
H - Aston Villa - 3
A - Arsenal - 0
A - Nottm Forest - 1

=============
H - Brentford - 3
A - Chelsea - 0
H - Tottenham - 1
A - Man Utd - 0
H - Fulham - 3
A - Crystal Palace - 1
H - Newcastle - 3
A - Leicester - 1
A - Brighton - 1
H - Man City - 0
A - Wolves - 1
H - Bournemouth - 3
From an admittedly pessimistic viewpoint I get us to 29pts, so I hope your estimates is closer.

I suppose at its most basic we have to outperform at least one of the teams above us whilst simultaneously hoping one of the teams below us doesn’t do the same.
And at this point we are handicapped by having played a game more.
It certainly isn’t a time for complacency.

Assuming 36 points would be enough (and it may well not be) that's another 14 points needed. So 4 wins and 2 draws.

It is very difficult to see where the wins would come from, apart from maybe Bournemouth at home on the last day. We can't win away, so that would mean 3 home wins needed from Brentford, Spurs, Fulham, Newcastle, and Man City. Leaving out City as they will be going for the title, that is 3 from the other 4.

It's becoming a very unlikely ask.

I've been thinking about this and this season could prove to be a freak season where the points total to survive is extremely low. As bad as we are there are 8-9 teams still in the relegation battle. Palace, who are the furthest in front could actually be one of the teams to reel in as they have been poor for a long time.

As tough a task as it is for us to reach 36 points, what evidence is there to suggest that 6+ of these teams are also going to get there when some are less than a win ahead (albeit they may have a game in hand)?

That gives me hope. I'm not convinced Leeds or West Ham for example are capable of getting to 36 points themselves.

Well we got one more point then, Leeds, West Ham and Leicester this weekend, that's a small positive
spot on, it’s also a positives that we didn’t suffer defeat,

I think there’s a bit more doom and gloom because we really should have won that game.

Sadly, even with the improved performances under Dyche, we’ve left ourselves quite a bit to do and we’re not gonna get safe any time soon, so it’s going to go right to the wire.

Hope I’m wrong and we are home and dry in the next few weeks, but that will take some really big wins against the form book.

Lot,s of twists and turns to come we conceded two soft goals today
We did but were going the right way, we were always jn that game, unlike sone we never turned up for.
We are heading the right way.
Since Dyche turned up be interesting to see who from the bottom 7 has the most points.
