On paper (I know I know) the weekend could be a very good one for us if we can just do our job and beat Brentford. Quite a few teams around us with very difficult fixtures.
The problem is that the teams around you are all saying that Everton has a very tough game this weekend and they will be looking at this weekend as an opportunity to possibly pull ahead of Everton. BTW, I really want u guys to win this weekend. Brentford are 4 points ahead of Villa so are a realistic target to try and pass before the end of the season

The odds are very high based on what happens to most clubs who get relegated, that once you go down you STAY down for some time. The data and odds indicate relegation leads to worse times for clubs, not better ones. Yo-yo clubs like Norwich can do it because they have a strict budget while in the PL and they don't have to unload all their talent when they go back down. We are in such FFP distress that if we get relegated we will offload everyone to make up for losses and have very little left to spend on talent. I don't think 95% of our fans know just how bad things are getting in the lower leagues in the last decade. It's terribly dire.

Agreed mate,

Trouble is I guess with there being so many in the mix is you’d imagine every week at least one of the teams will pick up points. Hopefully not though.

I’d rather play Brentford at home than have any of these fixtures:

Bournemouth v Liverpool
Leeds v Brighton
Leicester v Chelsea
Spurs v Forest
Palace v City
United v Southampton
West Ham v Villa
Newcastle v Wolves

Obviously they’re just fixtures on paper but there’s still a good opportunity for us here if we can win this weekend because some of these teams are going to be dropping points

Wow, I didn't realise the others had such difficult fixtures. Other than an easy home game for the Hammers with Danny Ings bound to score a few they are all 'on paper' losses for the relegation competitors. 3 points for Everton would be a very big 3 points

West Ham playing tonight though, Villa can be difficult as we found out. Hopefully they might have some fatigue and Villa can do them.

Would be huge if Brighton could see off Leeds. Would be virtually no new manager bounce from Gracia going in.

Bournemouth v Liverpool - away win they are still 7Up
Leeds v Brighton - draw for this one.
Leicester v Chelsea - Draw too
Spurs v Forest - Home win - after going out of the eurocup
Palace v City - Away win
United v Southampton - Home win - they are looking to bounce back
West Ham v Villa - away win they are tricky customers and emery is no mug.
Newcastle v Wolves - Draw for this too
Everton v Brentford - Home win - UTFT!

Nowt like looking over your shoulder

Teams are winning games they shouldn't be expected to

We are losing games we are expected to win

I just want to fast forward til end of season

Put us out of our misery - one way or the other

I'm not sure Brentford at home is that hard. They are on a good run, but are a solid team away from home. Like "on paper" I think Villa are stronger, but they are on a good run of form.

No idea why the Championship gets labelled as tough and aggressive. It just isn’t, it’s lower quality. PL clubs have young strikers who aren’t equipped to deal with PL defenders so they send them down on loan into the Championship. They don’t all return covered in scars and with cabbage ears and missing teeth, staying in digs with an old pervert. Same with young defenders.

Sexy Marco’s Fulham didn’t romp it by carrying knives to away matches.

The Chamionship isn’t tough to get back out of because they are all hardmen and you play 486 games every week on boggy pitches. It’s hard because the second you go down the majority of your PL quality players leave and you become just another Championship team.

ha ha we won’t get out of it crack on

I think Brentford is our 3rd hardest home game though mate. Like a bit of a reverse Newcastle, who are higher in the league but feel like they are running out of gas. It would be a big win for us.

Its winnable, but tough.

Dyche brought Burnley up from the Championship twice, keeping them in the PL for a fair few years the second time.

Kompany is doing well with them in the Championship currently.

I don't understand how this shows Kompany to be superior to Dyche.
Yeah Kompany was also able to totally overhaul his squad, so he basically got a fresh start with a lot of hungry players to bring in.
Always good to move on any possible Prima-Donas in a squad that think they are too big that league.
