Yeah exactly. Kompany has the 'Guardiola protigee' tag going in his favour at the moment but he's done nothing in the top flight.Been down that road a few times recently. A team needs a good manager that fits. Being young or progressive doesn’t have anything to do with it. Lampard was young and progressive but turned out to be not very good. When Kompany has Burnley qualifying for Europe then maybe he’ll replace Dyche as their best ever manager.
Dyche brought Burnley up from the Championship twice, keeping them in the PL for a fair few years the second time. They also employed a younger more progressive manager than their previous incumbent.
I didn’t necessarily say it did.Dyche brought Burnley up from the Championship twice, keeping them in the PL for a fair few years the second time.
Kompany is doing well with them in the Championship currently.
I don't understand how this shows Kompany to be superior to Dyche.
Maupay was one of the best players in the Championship a few seasons ago. Its not all about aggression, it is more important that a manager plays players to their strengthsWhen we go down we will stay down. Like you say there is no one in this squad who will cope with the aggression in the championship. Just going to be another team playing hoofball on the way to league one.
Surely it depends on what your definition of 'superior' is. Dyche and Kompany are very different managers. For a relegation battle and to get players to work their socks off and play effective football then I would consider Dyche the superior. For more entertaining football and trying to get a team to play 'sexy' football then I think Kompany would be superior. It all depends on the players a club has and the overall position a club is in and the footballing strategy being handed down by the boardDyche brought Burnley up from the Championship twice, keeping them in the PL for a fair few years the second time.

A nice soothing chat, with @matty1878 will help allay your fears mate.
Fixed that for you, Mattyhello darkness my old friend
That won't be a problem for us, then.No idea why the Championship gets labelled as tough and aggressive. It just isn’t, it’s lower quality. PL clubs have young strikers who aren’t equipped to deal with PL defenders so they send them down on loan into the Championship. They don’t all return covered in scars and with cabbage ears and missing teeth, staying in digs with an old pervert. Same with young defenders.
Sexy Marco’s Fulham didn’t romp it by carrying knives to away matches.
The Chamionship isn’t tough to get back out of because they are all hardmen and you play 486 games every week on boggy pitches. It’s hard because the second you go down the majority of your PL quality players leave and you become just another Championship team.
I know, but that is all the data available. It is given when discussing a novice manager that he can only be judged on the limited games he has managed. But so far he has performed really well at Burnley and I expect he has shown enough potential for many PL clubs to be prepared to take a chance on himYour whole opinion on Kompany as a manager is based on a few months at Burnley in the championship.
With that in mind, you can't be so conclusive.
