Dyche and the fans are giving us a chance of staying up that this board and team don't deserve.
My gut feeling is still that we will go down but at least we have a fighting chance now.

….I’ve been convinced for a while we need to finish above Forest to stay up.

4 more wins should give us a great chance of avoiding the drop, so many clubs involved we just have to look after our own business.
I think we win the next two home games now. GP has become a fortress again. We should be 4 out of 4 home wins under Dyche, Villa would have been buried if we'd have scored first.

Not getting Dyche in during the world cup break is what will relegate this club. He gets his new manager bounce at home to Wolves and Southampton (plus a draw at West Ham) and you're talking probably where Palace are in the table so plenty needs to still go wrong to get relegated from that position.

These wins are just cancelling out all the damage done by Lampard's terrible last few months so it's 100% on the board as Bournemouth away was a sackable result and performance (especially after the cup selection).

Villa game showed the value of the first goal. Offered very little as soon as going 1-0 down so I think that's going to be a big problem in run in although you never know with the odd game, somehow got that draw at Man. City despite falling behind.

At least there's some hope now as could easily have been bottom.

That was just massive today.

If we’d have lost like we did v villa I think it would have been catastrophic for the confidence of the players - especially with Bournemouth winning and tough fixtures ahead.

Dyche is 100% the man for this job atm. He’s got us grinding the results out and doing a great job of keeping level headed.

I predict we’ll be on 33 points at the end of the season based on the fixtures we have left, so certainties to go down 👇

If I’m being very optimistic, I think we could stretch that to 38, so touch and go.

If we stay up, it’ll be by the skin of our teeth and will require some very poor form from our rivals.

There's a realistic chance we get out of this mess.

I wouldn't underestimate what Dyche is doing here - getting a settled side and adapting the whole team to get on the scoresheet given our striker situation.

We have our plan and the shape of an identity. Do others down there? I see a rabble reliant on maybe one striker each turning things gold for them.

We're on 25 points from 27 games with - 18 GD the exact same position as we were in this time last season. Only difference being we've drawn 3 more this season and won 1 less.
25 points from 27 games is absolutely relegation average. Noticeable improvement under Dyche from Lampard (although that was a very low bar), certainly positive signs in the games so far, no doubt; but let's not get carried away. Every team below us has 1 or 2 games in hand, and we have hard fixtures coming up. Could easily be sitting back in the relegation zone a month from now with a handful of games left.
