I think them stats speak for themselves. The last two seasons we haven’t made 40 points and I haven’t seen anything that makes me think we will reach that this season, so I don’t know what it takes for you to acknowledge we are a dire football team.

Dont think dire at all, does not mean i think good just average for me. The set of fixtures up to the end of december will show who of us is right. I am hopefull that the team can get some confidence from sat now and push on

we know we’re dire mate.

i think we’ll scrape enough unless the other teams get better through out the season

but the next games we will be back nearer the bottom

For me, average would be around mid table, I hope you’re right I would love a boring mid table season.

Just think is alot teams similar to us was a poor start from us but hopefully get mre luck with injuries. Maybe now he has found his first 11 and keep starting the same team, i dont see much from palace fulham wolves forest maybe brentford if toney does leave in jan

We are 2nd in shots and 6th in shots allowed, we just havent finished a couple matches. If we continue to play as we have been no one will care midway through the season. We haven’t played anyone apart from Arsenal. The teams around us have all had much tougher starts, especially Burnley. I’m not sure how impressive our stats will be once we start playing the top clubs. Unless we are well clear by the Christmas period I think we are in for a season much similar to last.

So then the win changed your perception now to an Everton that wont be in a relegation fight? If it didnt then you are agreeing with my point, that the whims of a random weekend dont speak much to a teams season performance. If it didnt flip when WE won a game, why does it flip if Bournemouth do?

The win hasn’t changed my opinion: we are going to be in a relegation battle all season.

Villa are 5th, and were 7th last season.

So do you think that we will go from 2nd in shots, and 6th in shots allowed to bottom of the league in those categories once we play more teams?

Yeah average is Fulham and Palace level. Both are currently 4-5 points clear and won such games like Sheffield United away and Luton at home.

Yesterday was excellent but it was only one game and considering what's coming in the next month a little premature in general reaction.
