Villa are 5th, and were 7th last season.

So do you think that we will go from 2nd in shots, and 6th in shots allowed to bottom of the league in those categories once we play more teams?

I think it's more the next batch of home games is Brighton, Man. United, Chelsea, Newcastle, Man. City and Villa. That is a tough tough run for the next four months and where losing to all of Wolves, Fulham and Luton is going to hurt badly.

Of course a shock result or two is possible but unless there's a couple of away wins I'm struggling to see more than 16-17 points at the xmas/new year stage so team will basically be on similar number of points after 19/20 games as last season and we know what happened then.

I'm not being horrible, but Villa, United, Chelsea and Brighton are all winnable. United and Chelsea don't look that good.

And we are playing well away.

It will be about 25 point for survival this season too.

I think the test is whether the team can score 2-3 regularly at Goodison now (as opposed to once every 12 months). Going to have to do that a couple of times to win some of those games I think.

Newcastle weren't great at West Ham today but Isak scored twice in four minutes to nearly give them a win. Chelsea are starting to score more regularly. Brighton have plenty of goals in them and actually have a rare free week before coming up to Goodison.

I'd love to think there's going to be win after win but I think that's the point Wat Tyler is trying to put across, the overall long term metrics say that's pretty unlikely and it will remain a struggle to win many at home in next few months.

Obviously we all know we have a tough run of fixtures going up to around early December. But I'm a lot less concerned when I looked at the bigger picture.

The four teams below us I find it very difficult to envisage that any of them maybe with the exception of Burnley will be able to pick up any more than 2 wins in that period. I also don't think Everton will just lose all them games, we should be able to pick up a point here and there and maybe the odd win. If we could get to mid December out of the relegation zone I think we will be excellently placed to stay up that's the test now.

Bournmouth have two very winnable home games next. Good chance they will be above us over the next month.

We have really difficult fixtures now. Our next winnable game imo, is Burnley away on the 16th December!

I mean Palace and Forest away just have to be considered winnable. I’m not living in a world where we have to write off those games as defeats, leaves us with about 5 winnable games per season.

We will lose a lot of games this year because we are not very good

But every game is winnable in this league nowadays except about 3 or 4

City A
Arsenal A
Liverpool A
And maybe Newcastle Away

We need to focus less on runs of games and more on the next game. Every year we lose games we should win but pick up points here and there at unexpected times.

Palace, Forest away in that time, I think Chelsea & United arnt all that daunting nowadays (if the crowd is up for it, and the players press and get stuck in).

I fancy us against West Ham away, especially after theyll be playing thursday night

If we stay pretty injury free in that time we should be ok, if we get hit with injuries we'll struggle
