Bottom half probably would.

Pickford, Onana, Doucore and DCL would get in most if not all the bottom half sides and maybe some top half. Tarkowski and Branthwaite similar as it's at least a mid-table PL CB pairing. Then there's promising players like Patterson, Garner, Mcneil and Harrison that would at least start for 5 or 6 teams. Some unknown quantities like Beto and Chermiti.

There isn't much depth but Everton's first XI is mid table. There's a lot of rubbish in the bottom half. Dyche is setting us up for a 15th-16th place finish which will keep us up but other managers will get more out of less. How many Brentford players would get in our side? Let alone the promoted teams or Bournemouth where it'd be very few.

Think a good barometer is Wolves. I had them down as massive relegation candidates after Lopetegui walked out but last month has shown they will probably be comfortable.

I like McNeil as he has a go and can contribute with goals, Harrison also the type who'll probably pop up with crucial goals as the season goes on. Let's be honest Wolves are not swopping either for Pedro Neto who's been brilliant for them so far.

Same for Forest with Elanga and Hudson Odoi.

We know Pickford will have periods of the season when he's a brick wall in games but again Wolves had Sa making that miracle save at 0-0 at Goodison and Matt Turner is number one for USA and has done well for them so far.

Wolves and Forest will still finish in the 13th-15th range so those are two mid table sides I don't think would take a couple of the best players at this club.

They'd both take a fit Calvert Lewin though, Wolves certainly.

Everyone has us as certainties to finish above Luton and Sheffield United who we were lucky to get one point against. Lets face it, we have a terrible manger who has been mediocre his whole career and a squad full of bottler players who are vastly overrated by most of the fanbase. This thread will be about 300 pages after the next run of games.

Is a long season i look every game see what is happening, we all have a clear idea of what this squad is like have seen most of them for years now. Is an important run of games now and hopefully we can get a positive run and after new year we have made a gap. I dont expect big things from thr team but i do hope is more away from the drop this season

Alot of fans also under estimate our players, if they are so bad how do they come up with victories like beating Brighton 5-1 away, or Brentford 3-1 away, or even Villa 2-0 up and cruising.

The issue is these players have it in them if the manager just took the shackles off with his defence 1st philosophy.

Possibly an unpopular opinion but I think Iwobi was holding us back and the other 3 that will hold us back that Dyche likes to pick is Young, Gueye and Doucoure. Doucoure works hard and gets the odd goal but technically he is awful, can`t hold possession, we would be better off with a Danjuma, Harrison or McNeil in that 10 position. Or dare I say it Dele Alli if we ever see him again...

We're good enough to win odd games like those you mentioned but we haven't put a run of form together for a long time now. I don't know about Danjuma because I've barely seen him play but McNeil and Harrison have come from relegated teams and will be very inconsistent over the course of the season. Our supporters will think they're decent because they'll be the players who win us games but they won't do it on a regular basis.

Surely 8-12 is mid table.....
Above that your in the upper group, below and your in the lower group.

7-13 at a stretch.

He will still be prattling on about Xg when we are in the championship which is exactly were we are heading if we don't get rid of him soon.

Think mcneil has been one of the better players we have had, also harrison has been good at leeds it was because the could not defend they went down. I think them and makingn sure we get balls into the box help create space for dcl will be the reason we stay up

We will finish above those teams and it won't necessarily be on the basis of the results against them. We aren't brilliant but we have enough to grind enough points and it'll take a total disaster not to.

I look at it this way: it's a totally different league this year, last year even Southampton weren't that bad a team. I honestly think that if they'd been up against the three teams that came up all three relegated teams would've stayed up. We're no way good enough to be complacent, but if everyone pulls their weight there should be a gulf to at least three of the four teams currently below us.

Good by our low standards though. How many teams in the top 14 would have either them starting on a regular basis? Not many I'd guess and there lies the difference.

Yep November looks absolutely grim and we look incapable of causing any kind of threat at all to the teams at the top.

7 points in mid October is absolutely pitiful. Shows you how poor we are that we've almost come to expect it.

And some fans are actually happy with it because they’re “enjoying our performances” and swallowing Dyche’s BS self-preserving propaganda about xG and other such bogus meaningless stats.
