Sheffield United having 1 point from 27 and it coming against us says a lot.

That was a massive massive missed opportunity. Got back to 2-2 after 50 minutes and then barely had another attack! Look at how many late goals they concede. They actually played very well for an hour yesterday but then ran out of gas badly.

Worry for me is likes of Bournemouth, Wolves, Burnley and Luton have yet to play them so could all will be aiming for 4 points at very least. Not sure if having them as the final home game will be a blessing like Bournemouth was or a curse as there's so many harder home games to come over next six months either.

I conjecture we'll avoid relegation because our GD will not be as bad as the other teams (specifically Luton and Bournemouth). Sheffield come bottom...their only win of the season will be when they come to Goodison. I see us, Luton and Bournemouth concluding the season on 18pts...but we avoid the drop...until next season, when decent promoted teams replace the dross that came up for this season. We definitely get relegated next season imho

As bad as the bottom teams are there's no way any team is staying up on 20 points this season! I'd happily have a wager on that.

If Sheffield are coming to Goodison and winning then again I just don't see where the home wins are coming from, people genuinely thinking team can just win 3-4 at home and stay up? Just about got away with six home wins last season so that has to be the minimum target considering there were a fair amount of away draws and that might not be replicated this time.

Which 2 seasons were not consistent below?

Bottom 5 in 6 seasons, even when he finishes above the bottom 5 the following seasons he reverts straight back to where he usually finishes which is bottom 5...

His last season at Burnley he won 4 of his 30 games but it wasn`t his fault they were relegated!!! Yes sarcastic....

Burnley under Dyche in the PL won 72 games from 258, he won 284 points from a possible 774... PPG this season 0.78, meaning we will finish the season on 30 points.

Dyche isn`t good enough, this squad is better than bottom 6, unfortunately a poor manager will never get the points a squad deserves where as a good manager will get more than they deserve.

Im not convinced it is better than bottom 6 tbh. I think its a bottom 6 side. Maybe the high end of bottom 6 at a push.
Sheff utd have a single point all season. Against Everton. And even then we nearly lost that. There are not 6 teams i could reel off with ease and say Everton are better than them.

A draw should be achievable given how they defend today. 4 hour flight back aswell from Greece.
I actually fancy us against West Ham (probably jinxed it now!). They looked poor today and, as you say, have a European away day 3 days before and we've got a decent record against Moyes' teams. Everton will Everton, however, so who knows?!

Our team is midtable, our manager is bottom 4 or 5.....
I think a lot of fans overrate our team. The teams below us would have some of our players in their first XI but I don’t think anyone in the top half would have any apart from the odd one or two who have weaknesses in certain positions and I don’t think many of the other teams above us in the bottom half would take many of our players either.

Alot of fans also under estimate our players, if they are so bad how do they come up with victories like beating Brighton 5-1 away, or Brentford 3-1 away, or even Villa 2-0 up and cruising.

The issue is these players have it in them if the manager just took the shackles off with his defence 1st philosophy.

Possibly an unpopular opinion but I think Iwobi was holding us back and the other 3 that will hold us back that Dyche likes to pick is Young, Gueye and Doucoure. Doucoure works hard and gets the odd goal but technically he is awful, can`t hold possession, we would be better off with a Danjuma, Harrison or McNeil in that 10 position. Or dare I say it Dele Alli if we ever see him again...

I think most of us can see Dyche is now starting to create a team in his own image. You can see we are better organised, especially without the ball. We are creating more chances when we play lesser opposition. However, I still feel relegation is a possibility. The table doesn't lie and this is without many injuries and mostly having played poorer sides. The concern for me will be the status of our January injury list. If it's considerable I fear we will be stuck right in it, again! One can only pray we can bring in a loaner during the transfer window.

Bottom half probably would.

Pickford, Onana, Doucore and DCL would get in most if not all the bottom half sides and maybe some top half. Tarkowski and Branthwaite similar as it's at least a mid-table PL CB pairing. Then there's promising players like Patterson, Garner, Mcneil and Harrison that would at least start for 5 or 6 teams. Some unknown quantities like Beto and Chermiti.

There isn't much depth but Everton's first XI is mid table. There's a lot of rubbish in the bottom half. Dyche is setting us up for a 15th-16th place finish which will keep us up but other managers will get more out of less. How many Brentford players would get in our side? Let alone the promoted teams or Bournemouth where it'd be very few.

What is our best XI?

IMO we need to get rid of the old crocs like Gueye, Young and Doucoure. Make a young, dynamic and technically good team.

Pickford

Patterson Tarkowski Branthwaite Mykolenko

Garner Onana

Harrison McNeil Danjuma

DCL/Beto
