Not a chance we will go down this season, we are better than the teams around the bottom three.
If we would have lost 1 nil to Arsenal, City or Spurs with ten men people would have been saying we done ok.
The game was ruined by the liability we have at right back, booked very early in the last game too. Where is all his so called experience.

Don't think anyone's questioning what happened today. More the fact we got 0 points from Fulham, Luton and Wolves at home. Big game next week. We go to West Ham and get 3 points it'll go a long way in my mind to thinking we can consistently pick up points against 'better' teams this season. Get turned over and you really start to worry about those points we let slip in the first few weeks.

How often in the past have everton won winnable games on paper but made it up in games we should't win.

If we don't get a points deduction we're home and dry IMO..and with a bit to spare.

That PL decision is the biggest result we can get in our favour, staying up will be a piece of piss if we avoid a points deduction.

I'm not worried one little bit about any points deduction funnily enough. I know some people are thinking the premier league can't wait to feck this club over but they've secretly admitted in the past they'll do anything to protect the premier league brand and a club getting a points deduction is bad optics especially if it sends them down.

West Ham should've got a points deduction for illegally playing Tevez and Mascherano but they gave them a big fine instead. Man. City got those 100 + charges and they'll bottle deducting points off them when the time comes.

In 30 years I can only think of Portsmouth going into administration so that was unavoidable to take 9 points off them and then Boro calling a game at Blackburn off and getting deducted 3 points. That's something that would never happen nowadays as we saw during the covid season when clubs were taking the mick if they had 2-3 key players out.

What I'm more worried about is continually struggling to win at Goodison. As I keep on saying pretty much playing all top 8 teams now right up to February so I admire people thinking 4-5 home wins are imminent but it really dosen't look very likely and that will keep the club firmly in the bottom 6.

I agree. I dont think we'll be handed a points deduction. However, it is a possibility. And all Ilm saying is if this club are handed one then we are down as sure as night follows day. On the other hand, if we aren't handed that penalty then we have enough in this team to add another 30 odd points to our 7 and get us safe in a season when it looks very likely at this stage that 4 other clubs will struggle to get 30-35 points.

Need to keep picking up points in a tough run coming up. Can’t afford to become a bottom five with a gap, above that. Lose 3 of next 4 or 5 and that’ll be the case

Mad that Chelsea and United considered more winnable than Brighton!

Of course scoring 5 at Brighton was great but that was a kind of freakish performance. Very enjoyable and critical to stay up but pretty much everything came off that day.

Brighton have won twice at Goodison in last two seasons so it will hold no fears and they're deadly on the counter. From memory Patterson did a really good job on Mitoma down there so much rather have him in instead of Young. Big opportunity for him at West Ham, hopefully he takes it and Young warms the bench for the foreseeable.

I remember everyone saying Wolves were in trouble this season....

The job Gary O`Neil did at Bournemouth last season, getting them safe weeks before the end of the season and the job he is doing at Wolves is far far more impressive than Dyche at Everton....
