I think if we stay fit and play at the same level as the Brentford, Villa (cup) and Bournemouth games, we’ll be fine. If we start to get injuries and the performances dip, it will be a struggle. Unless two of Luton, Bournemouth, Sheffield United and Burnley improve a lot, low 30’s could be enough to stay up. They’re all on course for low 20’s or less at the moment.

We're 7 from 27 with so many winnable games gone.
another 40 points is going to be really tough. Dyche win ratio doesnt suggest it.
How often in the past have everton won winnable games on paper but made it up in games we should't win.

If we don't get a points deduction we're home and dry IMO..and with a bit to spare.

That PL decision is the biggest result we can get in our favour, staying up will be a piece of piss if we avoid a points deduction.

I can’t wait to see Carragher, Neville and co campaigning to “not punish fans” should we receive a points deduction - or are such sentiments only reserved for clubs that decide to rip up the very fabric of the english footballing pyramid i wonder?

Need to win our next match really to keep us on target. Ten points from ten games is the aim. If we don’t we need to make that up over the next ten games.
Next ten are much more difficult fixtures as well. Can’t see us getting four wins from the next ten.

use the disgraceful refereeing performance in the derby to galvanise the squad, get them right up for west ham and get us safe as soon as possible - far too much quality in this side to be in a relegation conversation this season

In terms of quality I'd put us about 14th at very best if DCL stays fit most of the season and Young barely plays again. We're not sitting on a massively underperforming team here. We are just aren't very good.

Not as many as you're suggesting.
I certainly dont see a "easly" another 40 points.

I think we will stay up this year simply because the teams currently below us are really poor. Being slightly less crap than another three or four teams is nothing to be proud about but it keeps us in the division and hopefully, by some miracle, the club can stabilise and start moving forward in future years.

But the teams below us who are apparently crap, we have beat one of them, drawn against one of them and lost against one of them. I think we're pretty crap and if I was one of those sides below us I'd look at us and think yeah Everton will be down there.

100% I'm not sure we are better than 3-4 other teams. We might avoid relegation but we'll be down in that bottom 5 barring a miracle for the majority of the season.

Not a chance we will go down this season, we are better than the teams around the bottom three.
If we would have lost 1 nil to Arsenal, City or Spurs with ten men people would have been saying we done ok.
The game was ruined by the liability we have at right back, booked very early in the last game too. Where is all his so called experience.
