I think from the looks of it we will really have to have our house in order by next season. Some very strong teams will be coming up and we don’t want to be in the mix with them.
Hope we can have a little more room to spend bring players in and inprove, keep the spine of the team gor another season. Then look to improve at rb cm and out wide,

Luton have got spirit. Whether they still have that in February will probably depend on how many points they are from safety.

Bournemouth, even before yesterday, looked poor and I don't think their manager has the right credentials to get them fighting. Hope he stays there until it's too late for them to survive.

I think third from bottom will finish on around 27 points.

When Derby got 11 points in a season they had six points after 11 games. Equal or more than the bottom four currently do after 11 games this season.

Their is no way two of those teams are getting more than 20 points imho.

While I think it is likely the bottom team this season could end up with something similar to Derby's total, I reckon the third from bottom will still get something around the mid 20s.
The fact they will get to play against three other average sides should get them about 12 points.

I am fairly confident that we won’t be relegated this year, not because we are that good, though having a fit DCL makes us much better, but because there are 3 or 4 worse teams than us in the league. Dyche will get us playing in a style that will get us enough points to avoid the drop but eventually he will get us to be the new Burnley if we give him time. He is the answer to the current situation but not a long term solution.

The only thing I'd say on that is if the bottom two teams are seen as punchbags then that feasibly gives more chance for the 18th place team to get more points.

Look back to 21/22. Norwich and Watford were terrible and both were down by late April. Burnley in the end finished on 35 points.

Bournemouth are a poor team but they've actually yet to play Luton or Sheffield United so could be a win or two and then suddenly they're over 10 points and creeping up on other teams. Probably more chance of doing that if they change managers.

I just don't see one of those three getting 7 to 8 wins.

They'd only need 4 or 5 more wins if they do well against the bottom 2. Sheffield United beating Wolves yesterday shows it is possible.

Just out of interest, Reading were relegated with 36 points the year Derby set the unwanted 11-point record.

They're not mutually exclusive though are they.

All three who have come up are not prepared for the PL this time.

I agree with you that we probably will have three sides cut adrift at the bottom.
Fulham finished 18th a few years ago with 29 points and I'm sure 18th will get less this year. Just don't know how much less it will be.

Still not worried at all about relegation despite some surprising results this weekend.

We have taken seven points from our last four games whereas the clubs in the bottom four haven't taken more than six from their opening eleven games.

i) Sufficient unto the day thereof

ii) In the long term were all dead
