There's 20 games left and Burnley have been gradually getting less kamikaze as the season's gone on, so they could well get out of it. If us, Forest, Palace and maybe Brentford and Wolves don't pick up points it could be close.
It will be close, because we’ll get injuries. Our recent form is probably not sustainable. But we’re better than Burnley, Sheffield Utd, and Luton by some distance. Heck, we’re better than Chelsea. It’s the deduction artificially lowering us into the mire. We won’t power away from trouble, but we should still have enough to ease out by late April.

well said mate agree here

What we have achieved in our 18 games todate we have no worries for the next 18 games.
We are going into games now with a fighting chance, yes we need to improve in the winger area but overall we are not a bad side and will be fine

A win win with the RS fixture later but back to squeaky bum time for the next couple of games. Ffs a draw at the Sheffield game would have effectively put Luton two wins behind us gien our goal difference. City game not the walkover the Mancs would have expected four weeks ago but will still be a difficult ask. Wolves at the weekend a win would do nicely.

Just a reminder again that we’ve gained 10+ more points than the teams in the bottom 3 over the course of the first half of the season. No reason why we can’t match them at least over the second half.
I don`t think we should be so arrogant to think we will go and do that all again, I`m not saying it isn`t possible but the same set of players were also bottom of the league after 7 games...

It is always difficult down there with the pressure of seeing other teams picking up points, the Fulham blow, losing to Spurs and losing to City could put us on a poor run, which could happen when you see our fixtures. Beating Wolves away isn`t a given....

One point outside the relegation zone with the team below us having a game in hand you`d have to say we are in this relegation fight yet again, until the point we can move away from it OR we get some points back.

The results have been bad recently but they were the opposite earlier in the season. I remember it constantly going in our favour so it has balanced out a bit. When we get at least half of our points back we will be fine. Teams like luton rarely win games on the bounce like that and it's unlikely they will again
