Not sure mate.

You say you prefer Dyches pragmatism - it's exactly that, isn't it?

He's improved us in very difficult circumstances. Maybe he can keep improving us?
He improved us and the team looks like a unit again, the right manager for the next few years. It's the right approach for the moment. I can see him getting us 8-12 and this is what's possible in the next 5 years.

Luton continuing their worryingly impressive home form*

*3rd worst in the league**

**1 point fewer than us***

*** having played a game more

Very similar to Leeds valiant one nil loss away to City last year.

It was proclaimed by some of the very same doom ferrets on here, as being a symbolic victory for them, which would galvanise their relegation fight and doom us to relegation lol

I know you are being tongue in cheek, but being serious for a moment, Luton are better than us currently.

Plus better to watch.

I know if we didn’t have 10 points deduction we would be well clear of them, but they just look more of a side than we do currently.

Add the fact they’ve beaten us twice at home, I do not think we should be mocking them too much.

Agree. It’s weird to me tbh. They are punching well above their weight, are entertaining to watch and are generally in every game they play.

The fact we have ground out 3 more wins playing dour football and with ten times the budget isn’t exactly reason to mock them.

Palace are the Leeds of last season imo, floating above the bottom 3 winning the odd home game here or there but hardly scoring any goals and dithering over managerial appointments. If Glasner dosen't get a bounce I think they'll go down personally.

People giving Luton endless stick but imo they could easily replicate what Bournemouth and Forest did. Find the thread from 12 months ago and pretty much everyone were saying those two were certainties to go down, in the end they both secured safety with at least a game to spare.

At the time that was actually a good result for Leeds in that the GD's were reasonably close. Of course that was over the Coronation weekend and the 5-1 at Brighton was something Leeds weren't quite expecting....

Then in the next game they went 1-0 up v Newcastle and Bamford then missed a penalty and they only drew. Also messed up a 1-0 lead at West Ham which pretty much relegated them.

So many near misses in tight relegation battles. Ultimately if Maddison puts away the penalty at 2-1 at Leicester we're all posting in the "Will we make the Championship play offs" thread so just shows how close this club went to relegation.

…being in the bottom three and fighting relegation impacts results, I’m sure of that. Without the deduction the team plays with free spirit rather than being tense and pent up. Luton play with a free spirit because being relegated doesn’t mean as much to them, it means everything to us. The situation is a leveller.

Had we not had this penalty nobody knows how the season would’ve panned out but it could’ve been very good.

I cant see how you can watch that match and think Luton are anything. Yes, they get shots because they are positionally poor, but the holes in the back are shocking. United missed 4-5 1-on-1s with the keeper to keep that close. If you'll notice, United has somehow managed to be 6th with only 35 goals scored, because they cant finish.
