We won’t down matty. Keep the faith
I think this is the game I'm most relaxed about, I'd take a positive from any resultLast nights exhibition of exploding bladders was only a warm up for the mighty Luton v Forest game at the weekend.
I fully expect us to be officially declared as relegated at the end of the game, no matter what the result.
We are the number 1 underperformed Xg team, no one has thrown away more points than us.Doesn't bear thinking about how desperate our situation would be had Luton not slung away so many points this season. Their result at Newcastle springs to mind, 4-2 up against a side in terrible form yet drawing 4-4, hauling themselves from 2-0 down against Villa only to then lose and of course last night which is barely believable result. There have been a few others as well.
Having said that, if it were not for our points deduction, we would be 10 points ahead of them, which would be an insurmountable gap. It's only the threat of another deduction, and one for Forest too, as to why they're even remotely in the conversation for survival.
The fact they can't hold onto results bodes well for us, gives the notion that they lack either the tactical know-how or discipline to get the job done. They do score goals though, which we can't say about ourselves and we are in dire need of sorting that out.
Yep. Forgot about that. Actually, forget this post. It wasn't me! I've been hacked!Except for the time we were against Brighton last season
I can honestly say I'd forgotten about that. Nevermind. I'll make something else up to try and seem intelligent.Brighton away last season, your honesty needs work sir.
Anyone else wanna make me look like a bell?We did at Brighton last season mate
Agreed on all fronts. We would be much higher in the league if it wasn't for the unjust and corrupt punishment by the Premier League against our club.
But ultimately if we had a clinical finisher we might be challenging for a top 4 place.
My cousin bumped into Dom the other day and he said "We are trying. We recognise what a privilege it is to play for this great club and we won't be the ones to take this club down."
Let's hope he sticks to that.
This is potentially an exciting period for our club, with a move to a new world-class stadium on the Liverpool waterfront.
We just need to stay up. By any means necessary. Somehow we need to make Goodison the cauldron of noise it was when we played Palace under Frank.
Its all relative. For a team thats desperately trying to stay in the league and has only managed it by the skin of their teeth for the last 2 years being 14th would feel very different to being where we are now.Without the deduction we'd be 14th...hardly much higher
It is not. If that were so, teams would do it, and they dont. And scoring loads from throwing players forward is different then scoring loads because of well coached tactics. Football is a cohesive sport, what happens on one end of the pitch directly effects the other.Yeah but it easier to coach a team scoring loads of goals to be more defensive, than it is to get a team with a decent defence to score goals.
That could very well be true, they dont have the coaching or players for tactics, so they are trying to throw their way into some unlikely success.Only way they can olay
...plenty of reverse doubles though (ie home and away losses)...Everton thatEverton haven`t done the double over any team in the PL for over 4 years...
