This team staying relatively injury free is going to be a crucial. A bad injury to one of the CBs or Pickford could put us under serious pressure.

However, with Harrison returning and a credible alternative to DCL upfront, we should have the attacking options to score enough goals to enjoy some mid-table mediocrity for once!
I was just about to type this, if we stay injury free, we'll be fine, if we get unlucky with injuries to key players, the paper thin squad and fragile confidence will be problematic

All of a sudden after these last set of results we’ll hear less so called experts making us relegation favourites….
I do feel there are at least 3 or 4 teams worse than us if not more and IF we are more fortunate this season with injuries than previous seasons then we could stay away from the usual drama and anxiety of relegation fights…. Big IF though

Luton and Sheffield United are worse. I am yet to decide on Burnley and Wolves. Wolves have already turned on O’Neil. I think they have more talent in their squad than we do if they appoint a half decent replacement.

We also have a possible point deduction and a very small squad perhaps more vulnerable to injuries then our peers

We dont have point deduction have already said we cant get that

Hahaha I remember thinking we could sneak into the top 10 after that Southampton game. Great times.

Led Man. United 1-0 the next game aswell. Ronaldo outpacing Tarks to score the winner was the turning point for Lampard and then things spiralled out of control.

You get the feeling that won't happen under Dyche. Will grind out draws to keep the points total ticking over.

Get Garner in CM, move Onana to a more DM role in place of Gana and bring Harrison in on the right. With Beto battering defences for an hour then bringing a fully fit DCL on we should be easily good enough to be midtable.

I think Calvert Lewin will be starting as early as Saturday so think over time Beto will be the one to bring on v tiring defences given he's shown he can make clever runs across the CBs.

Harrison will also be decent coming on as he'll get up and down so can help the FB to see out 1-0 wins.

AFCON to consider too.

Gueye and Doucoure are big absentees.

If we can add a body into MF in the January window on loan we should do so.

EDIT: Doucoure not going.

Next 2 games are massive.. if we win both we'll be on 10 points and pulling away from the wrong end and putting a run together gives confidence, which is something we are lacking... 2 very winnable games.

I would agree but looking at our run of games after the next 2 I'm slightly more apprehensive.

Tremendous and unexpected win yesterday but anyone thinking that we are now certain to stay up needs to give their head a wobble.
Indeed there is a long way to go but there are probably 10 or more teams not certain to stay in the league. Long season, fight for every point
