As much as these players deserve the Championship if they capitulate now when safety is still within reach, a lot of people saying we should swallow the deductions and only blame ourselves if we go are going to become very embittered if we do drop by less than eight points.

We're being stitched up. How else can one view the different way we were treated to Forest, let alone City, and ignore the way the PL are still reserving the right to sanction us at a later date - this season or after - about yet another disagreement?

It's beginning to feel like a stitch up. If I were to wager, our high profile and first out of the blocks anti European Super League stance is being shown to be rather pious given our own finances at that time were built on sand (no BMD pun intended). Had the same board members not other pressing immediate duties to be attending to? Subsequent events would say they should have had.

And to make matters much worse, the charlatans who led that media campaign have all rode off, handsomely rewarded too. The bitter and continued nature of the attacks on us indicate an agenda.

I think we need another 9 points which would mean Forest and Luton need to get 12 points to overcome our goal difference advantage.

If we are safe by the Arsenal game then I would love us to kick off then walk off the pitch and forfeit the game thus ruining the PL and Sky’s season end finale…barstewards!!

Would prefer to get safe and give the PL (and our board) a big fat banner at Arsenal of a middle finger all whilst ruining the PL and Sky's last day title race bonanza by putting in the worst showing ever seen and letting Arsenal cruise to the title (not that it'll take much doing with this lot).

Yup, I think we've taken a giant leap towards the Championship today.

I don't think the 2 points changes much. I think we still need 3 wins to stay up from the final 7 games. That will give us 36 points. I don't see both Forest and Luton getting 9 or more points from their last 6 games.

I know Sky have this narrative that the Luton away game is the most important. I dont really agree that this point. If we beat Forest and Brentford at home before then and Luton dont get at least 3 points in their 3 games prior to that game, I think even if we get beat at Luton, it wont make any difference.

The only saving grace is Luton have City away next. Hopefully the lift this points deduction has given them, gets knocked out of them by City next week.

This is where I hoped we'd be when this second deduction came around. So much better than it landing in a few weeks. We know what we need to do, and its not too much different to where we were this morning, still ahead of 18th, still need more points than at least one other team below us.
