It's great that we're looking safe now but let's not pretend that this season has been anything other than dreadful. It's taken us until April to beat a decent team FFS! The results have only improved since we seem to have abandoned the style that Martinez favours. I haven't seen enough of an improvement yet to convince me that Martinez is the right man for the job.

where has anyone said it hasn't been dreadful? just because people (myself included) said we won't be relegated doesn't mean we were happy with how the season has gone on. the extremism on this forum is ridiculous, apparently either martinez is a clown and we're going down or you must think he's a god on earth when it's obviously some where in between. It's not as awful as everyone made out with their over the top doomsday predictions but it's not all rosy either. I just take one game at a time and don't look to far ahead

Predicting a full relegation melt down is a little, erm, nieve, when we've seldom been in any danger of troubling a bottom three containing genuine piss poor teams.

a few weeks ago a two game swing would have had us in the bottom 3. We can all dance around that we have won a few games, well done manager. except where was he when we got beat by most teams around us? or when we won 2 games in three months?

Try vaulting me when we are challenging back up the table mate because for all the 'told you so' in here now, back down the bottom come December and you'll all just look like a tit.

oh and if you want to vault me do Iit right, I also said after that I want martinez to turn it around because he is the type of manager I want to get behind. I have also said I back his ideas and want him to be a success.

mate I'm not popping online to spread gloom among the happy posts! haha

made up we won and will be every time we do. Once we best qpr I'm reserving my judgement again until around December before I re visit any negative viewpoints. what I'm hoping for is more quality signings this summer, go back to playing with confidence and be singing robertos praises.

to be honest we have beaten a piss poor Newcastle and relegated qpr and finally beaten a good team today. absolutely made up winning every game no matter who they are, but we haven't won the league all of a sudden and our manager has the next 8 months to prove he is up to the task

Opinion in football is so volatile. Last season pundits were saying Martinez should be at Arsenal or Barcelona, and this year the media were giving him pelters about his tactics. It's been a rubbish season no doubt but I think Bobby has earned the right to try and fix his mistakes.

No one's happy. But there's some of less happy because their predictions of meltdown and relegation didn't materialise. Which is a little strange.

Demands for the Manager's head and a club icon (Duncan Ferguson) to be installed as manager to save us.

Some may have done but I certainly haven't let myself down, if we get to march again with less than 30 points I'll be just as pissed off.
