Considering the season we're having, I would have said beating both Leicester and WBA would be the bare minimum. Instead, we've gifted both of them a very valuable point. City, Chelsea and Liverpool are out of our reach, so draws with any of them would have been reasonable
I will give the team props for the palace win though, that was an unexpected bonus
It honestly amazes me how people are still in denial. We're now 3 quarters of the way through the season. We have 2 wins in 18 league games. At what point will people wake up? When we're 1 point off the drop zone with 2 games to go? Or will that still be "knee jerk"?
When we're in the bottom 5? And not 12th?
If we lose that game, palace beat west ham away from home, west brom beat southampton, hull beat stoke away and sunderland win at old trafford we'll drop to 15th (that's still not bottom 5).
And odds of that happening? I bet we'll still be 12th after next weekend.
Imagine if it did. In all seriousness, I can see all of those potentially happening bar Sunderland at Old Trafford

It just seems like some people are just too proud to admit the situation and want to shout down anyone whose prepared to be realistic with accusations that they're overly negative or are thinking too "small time"
Such attitudes do not help at all
They are essentially being more knee jerk than those they are accusing of being so
This does not include everyone making the "we're not going down" argument of course, but therein lies the rub
Saying we're in the relegation battle is not the same as saying we will actually go down

We're just not.
If every one of the teams below us win next weekend (and they've won a combined 49 out of 208 games, it's not likely) and we lose, there will still be 5 teams below us.
We have never been one weekend of everything going against us from being in the relegation zone.
If one weekend where you lose and everyone below you wins won't put you in the bottom 3, are you really in that fight?
Yeah, that would be all well and good if there was about 2 games left. But there isn't there's still a quarter of the season to go, and we don't look like winning a game
