It could be a watershed moment for the club and it could also be the actual end. Not sure there is really a middle ground either with our finances. We either fix it quickly and start to run a sustainable club or we are just done.

Still would like to win a few matches and avoid the whole thing though.

na mate we go we don’t and won’t come back. and these championship fan boys on here who want it, after half a season soon be cryin

I have not had any enjoyment out of football for several years. I’m stuck because I became a fan in the seventies. My children don't care in the slightest about football. Everton offer no interest or enjoyment at all to them.

I live in Liverpool and I my experience tells me that 27 years of nothing means that Everton’s youth support is massively diminished. My son is the only Evertonian in his class and he doesn’t care for them. The club is headed into oblivion.

I don’t believe this is a isolated example. Football is now ultra capitalist with punishing penalties for failure that are literally forcing clubs into destruction. We are well on that path.

The PL has created a top six or seven and the rest are no marks just there to pretend it’s a competition. Clubs of our size are in a twilight zone. Not big enough to challenge but forced to spend to try and meet unachievable fan expectation.

We need a rethink. Liverpool and City have won and we are the forever losers. Capitalism ultimately always ends up with a few ultimate victors and many failiers. It concentrates the power with the victors. We’ve joined the growing pile of failures. There is no way back to where we used to be. We are Kodak.
It allows for the few to avoid monopolies in the interest of fair trading. There are also laws in place to deter and punish the formation of cartels but unfortunately for us it appears the Premier League and Uefa(with their new CL system) are happy to prop up the already extremely advantaged clubs and in essence allow the cartel to exist for funds produced for them. The 'punishments', decided by the super league 6 themselves, was a smack in the mouth to every other team in the country, and a lifting of the veil and pretense at sporting fairness.
That was a penalty today, 'nuff said

I’m confident we would be ok if we went down, we would soon get the hang of the championship and adapt to what we have to do. Imo we would come straight back up.

If the team cannot take at least 9-11 points or
more from Chelsea, Leicester, Watford, Brentford, Crystal Palace and Arsenal then honestly we do not deserve to be in the Premier League.

Injuries, referee decisions and bad luck have not helped but, whichever way you look at that, we will absolutely deserve to go down if we do with the games we have left.

You sure...it's arguably a harder stretch than the last 6-7 games!

Chelsea had that Brentford shocker but don't lose many at all. If team gets in the lead you never know....could grind it out like v Man. United.

Brentford form is pretty much what Newcastle's is. They should've beaten Spurs yesterday and have also beaten Chelsea and West Ham in last month. And before that won v Burnley and Norwich.

Palace in recent times have beaten Arsenal and got a good 0-0 v Man. City. Just the cup got in the way.

Leicester got europe but not like it's been hampering their prem results that much straight after games, they beat Palace at home recently straight after one of the legs.

Who knows which Arsenal will turn up on last day but ultimately they've just beaten two other top 6 teams back to back and if they need something for top 4 you suspect they'll get it.

After typing all that I'd say one thing though...don't beat Watford away and there really is no hope of staying up as that simply has to be a nailed on three points given Leeds went there and won 3-0 and Burnley could easily go there and win on Saturday in present form.
