In the 90s i felt we lacked quality in multiple areas and could have lost any game we played in (aside from when Royle was manager).

If we had gone down there was no money at all in the bank and we'd have been in serious trouble as a club.

Most seasons it was a case of praying to reach enough pts to stay up before enjoying the football.

Now we have a multi-billionaire owner so the club wont be in financial trouble if we go down.

Theres a new stadium 2 years away.

We have some very exciting young players in the squad...alot of dross but something to build on

Chelsea, Leicester, Watford are really critical games that could set us up nicely for the final 3.

My hope is that at the end of the Brentford match we're safe or needing one result from the final two.
In the 90’s we had no money and 2 separate crap teams, but they could show battle and pride.

The club will be in a worse financial state if we do down, spending £180m year on wages, 94% of income is not sustainable. Plus that billionaire [Poor language removed] is the reason we’re in this mess

Everyone hopes we’ll be safe

But hope and reality aren’t the same thing

Nothings changed today really. We just need to get results and we'll stay up. Not sure I have faith in us to do it and obviously 2 late goals is a blow but it's on us.
I did think Burnley's form would fade, not to be. But yeah, Leeds was always the one to chase down once Burnley beat Wolves last week as they have the easier run in.

If we get 5 or 6pts were right back in this.

Why is it double standards? Im not the one who pretended mass injuries, crap players and dodgy ref calls weren't happening earlier on in the season like many were doing in order to blame Benitez's tactics as the sole reason for our poor form.

Benitez didn't do a good job.

Lampard is also not doing a good job.

The player's are rubbish.

No agenda or double standards from me - I just cant sit back watching fans give the current fella a free pass when he's had half a season to get results.

I do think he'll keep us up though.

You blamed everything but the manager when it was Benitez. Now you only blame the manager with Lampard. That's double standards.

If we go down, Lampard has failed and he'll accept that, but the damage was done months ago. These players are the one constant under both, so they need to be held accountable. Every single one of them needs to take responsibility and be let go from the club. They have let down the club and every supporter and they aren't fit to represent the club. They should be utterly embarassed and mortified at their efforts.
