In the 90’s we had no money and 2 separate crap teams, but they could show battle and pride.

Funny but this time in 94 and 98 loads of comments on similar platforms (e.g. fanzines) were that the team (bar Watson) showed hardly any battle and lacked 'pride' and fight'. Obviously once we stayed up on the final day(s), the same people were commenting on how much "fight" we had. It'll be the same this time around.

I wont know as much as you guys and gals about who was linked with the job, so I am not sure about "tons" of them. Most of the ones I recall seemed no better than Lamps. Potter seemed like a rational choice, but I have no idea if he would have accepted the job.

My second choice in your shoes would have been Duncan Ferguson, he has less experience than Lamps sure but I bet here would have the players fired up. Lose under him and they would have to at least learn some teamwork - even if only to attempt to barracade the changing room door after a match!

He got us from bottom of table and were spiralling toward relegation into 8th. Fans on his back all the way till the end.

Benitez had us 1rst after the first 4 games and fans screaming for him to be sacked still. It was never going to work out.

Both managers have plenty of experience in either winning European and domestic trophies or are fantastic at keeping a club safe and stable.

But two of them are ugly and not doing great in the personality department.

Frank Lampard. Charming, speaks well.. Good looking. No experience but for a failure at derby and Chelsea. Has taking him half a season but finally has us in the relegation places.

Its the prity hot charming girl getting the job over the fat blimp with experience clechè and everyone is tolerating her screw ups.

OK we get it. People are gay for lamps. Nothing wrong with that. It's 2022. But you're misplaced direction on blame will see us relegated.

I can’t emphasise how much us as fans need to realise we as the table stands have 2 games in hand, we win both of those and we go above both Leeds and Burnley, I’m almost certain that’s the only thought the players will have. We have to believe that we can do it, after the next two games we have to start looking at those two games at home against palace and Brentford and win those as well! Leeds run of games is really tough and Burnley can easily lose a run of games as well.

Possibly. But if we were to, say, draw tomorrow and draw vs Leicester and Arsenal beat Leeds (three results not unrealistic) then we'd be three behind with a game in hand and much better goals difference. Get something tomorrow and we're well still in it.
