Ive always said we'll be safe or practically safe after brentford ;)

Looking at the run in, provided we keep the level of effort and intensity up, i think it could be Burnley who go. Horrible to go to Spurs and Villa have already smashed them. Hopefully Newcastle wont be on the beach last day of the season, some of their players should be fighting for their futures.

….I think Watford will be very difficult if our back four is the one who finished yesterdays game.

i was very encouraged with a spell of 20mins or so in the 2nd half when we knocked it about nicely and looked the more likely of the sides to score, so it would be good if we take that type of control on Wednesday night.

i think Watford is lots down to Lampard’s team selection and how he sets the team up. Team selection is an area he’s been found wanting, but if we can come away with the 3 points then even I’d believe we’re ok. We need something from Watford.

Exactink we needed a good ole relegation fight to rediscover what/who we actually are. I hope the scare is over but it's not over until the maths says otherwise for me, but nevertheless I hope our fans continue these efforts in the coming seasons they have been fantastic.
People talk about how long we have been in the top division and I think the fans have proved why, they wont allow it any other way and they will give absolutely everything they have to make sure it stays that way.

Exactly my thoughts...

Of course it's not ideal but we've found ourselves again. Since Moyes left us perennially battling (for the most part) up and around the Europa places, followed by THAT Martinez season. We looked ready to finally break through. These things combined with the takeover seriously raised our expectations. Big ticket, big name players, big name managers and big salaries that go with it.
Since then a steady and more recently a rapid decline.
This relegation fight, in my eyes, has woken everyone up. The entitlement, has wained and in turn we've gained. The spirit of the blues lives again.
Well done to all that have played their part. And, that is everyone. Coaching, Manager, Players and most of all, the fans!
We're still not quite there yet... But, the light is getting closer and brighter.

The future's bright. The future's blue.

Nice one.

Reminds me of a question posed to Earnest Hemingway around his financial difficulties. The interviewer posed : "how did you go bankrupt?"...and Hemingway famously replied: "slowly at first...and then, all at once"

Shoot out between Leeds and Burnley now. We should have kept Bielsa even though we were struggling , easier set of fixtures Phillips coming back attacking football I think we would have more points in the bag. Yes we were terrible at your place but the finger is firmly pointed at Radz , Kinnear and the awful Orta. I am still hoping Burnley are in more trouble with a few injuries we might just survive. I think the top 2 teams are light years ahead of us, 2 best managers and the finances are making it impossible for decent sized clubs to compete. Newcastle will be the ones to watch, Tottenham looking at extra financial partners the whole situation seems to be the team with the most money wins, stuff the rest unless you can find a country to back you. I think Chelsea might even find it difficult to compete.
