I think that six more points will be enough. Obviously we should fight and scrap for every single point but I honestly can't see Leeds beating Chelsea on Wed and that would leave them with just two more games. This could all be over by Sunday if we approach the Watford game in the same manner we did Leicester. This is in our hands now. COYB!

I honestly think a win at Watford would see us safe, but one more win at home on top would seal it for certain.

Talking to a Leeds supporting mate last night he mentioned something that I hadn't realised- there's a bit of history between this Brentford side and Leeds, and they really don't like eachother. He was saying Brentford would absolutely love to send them down on the last day, so there's no way they'll have their flip flops on for that game.

In that case they can roll over when we play them at home.

The self belief we have will be too much for Watford to handle. Our players know that before we get back to Goodison they can have this wrapped up.
I'm hoping we beat Watford, and Leeds don't pick up any points by the time we play brentford. Then Lampard has 2 home games to start to tinker and play some of the football we know he wants to knowing we are safe.

At which point, we muller both Brentford and Palace.

For me, 41 is the golden number. There's no way we're going down with 41 points considering that Southampton in 15th are currently on 40 with only two games to go against Liverpool & Leicester. 41 points is two more wins for us.
I think 2 more wins effectively guarantees safety. If Leeds don't beat Chelsea, which despite Chelsea's bad form shouldn't be something that'd be happening, it'd mean the most Leeds could possibly get is 41 with a far worse goal difference. They kick off before us Wednesday so realistically by the end of our game against Watford we could be on 38 points, Burnley on 34 and with a game in hand against Leeds on 34/35. I see Burnley maybe getting a point against Newcastle on the last day at best and I don't see Leeds picking up any points until maybe Brentford where they'd have been mathematically relegated already, or at least for as much as we care they would be mathematically unable to catch us.

Finish with a bit of pride this season and go as high as we can, I'd love to go into the final game against Arsenal with nothing but pride to play for and being able to get around 14th or 15th.

Worried me after seeing the Watford keeper Ben Foster calling the players out as not good enough and giving up after 60 mins.
They could have a point to prove and didn't they beat us 5-2 at Goodison?
Just want us to get enough points to be safe asap.
Doesn’t work like that. They didn’t care enough to bust a gut when they had a chance of survival and probably already have their next moves lined up.

Exactly. If we beat Watford and Leeds lose to Chelsea they need to beat both Brighton and Brentford.

Failure to do so and we are safe.

We get 2more pts and were safe.

Lets hope we beat Watford and Leeds lose to Chelsea.

The end :)
If we beat Watford and Leeds lose to both Chelsea and Brighton we are safe before the Brentford game.. still a lot of IFs
