Huge opportunity missed, but we knew this would happen because were Everton and we never, ever do anything the easy way. It’s going to come down to the second to last or last day and why wouldn’t it? Just hope Leeds and Burnley both capitulate and don’t pull off any shocks.

Replace "today" with "this season" and I'm with you.
I’m actually seething mate.

We are on the back of two wins (all because of the fans), going to a relegated side who’ve lost their last ELEVEN, worst home record in the country, and we played like that.

And even worse the manager was happy with it. What the actual f

Sunday could be an odd day. Can't see Burnely getting anything except a hiding at Spurs. Wouldn't be surprised if Leeds pull something out of the bag against Brighton at home. Puts us in a v difficult position. Like tonight it may be a case of don't lose whatever happens. Personally I think Burnley won't pick up another point. They had their bounce.
Newcastle on the last day is the worry...Leeds will win against brigton and might get a draw away at Brentford...

I generally believe we'll be celebrating safety achieved against Brentford (Leeds loss and Everton draw/win).

Goodison will be roaring, no one will care about the Watford game and we'll finally unclench.

Didn't expect to win today purely because we won against Leicester. Still Disappointed with the performance and Frank's approach to the game.

I believe our home games will see us safe, partly due to our players not being able to put their feet up after failing against Watford's second string.

Their first home clean sheet, despite being injury-ravaged and already relegated? There was no sense of the manager even tolerating the idea of pushing for a winner today - he was comfortable accepting a point and if we do end up going down, I'd certainly point to this game in particular as a key reason.

Anyway, onwards and just hoping and praying Spurs and Brighton take points against Burnley and Leeds this weekend.
He has us in a mindset that serves us better against clubs attacking us. Dont confuse these players and ask them to play like they're a top 6 team. We saw what happened when Lampard did want them to be *expansive* - it was a disaster.

Tonight we should be relatively happy: one of our rivals at the bottom lost and lost another player on the run in; we picked up a point with more winnable games to come than Leeds or Burnley.

I clearly have smaller expectations than most around here, because I never felt we were winning three games in a row. This season has shown that these players are simply not capable of that. I am happy with the point knowing we have two home games to get ourselves out of this now. We are bad enough to go down and I think we are in a great position relative to where I thought we'd be after the Burnley defeat. If we cannot do what's needed in these last three games, Lampard will rightly be sacked and we will rightly be relegated. I am comfortable with that.

Lack of quality raises its head again. Scrapped 2 wins with pickford saving us the maximum 6 points. Tonight when it came to go win a game other than just digging in the lack of quality is quite scary. I think every single other team in this division would have turned watford over tonight. Even norwich.
Yes. Absolutely.

But it's about falling over the line now. We may have already done it....
