I've just looked at our fixtures between now and new year.
Eight games and as it stands, I'd be amazed if we took more than 9 points from the lot
A win over Brentford is an absolute must, I don't know all that much about them to be fair, but from highlights I've seen, they look a quick, strong team who are very dangerous on the break, which already has we extremely concerned. I can see another Watford type result being a distinct possibility.
Once we get our key players back, we should be grand, but until then, you wonder where the next point is coming from.

I can see this thread popping up alot more if we fail to beat brentford and rightly so. Of course our first 11 should have enough to finish 10th 11th 12th but it's a squad game over the season and we have some woeful players.

It reminds me of that newcastle team I think 2009 that fell away and ended up in real trouble around feb and eventually got relegated. It's just the complete lack of fight and intensity that has bedded into the team over seasons.

I'm genuinely not sure where our next win comes. Brentford looked to maybe be the game, but I seriously doubt it with the team that we'll be sending there.

Seriously, even when it was the Koeman-Allardyce crap. I was never worried about relegation because the league is just full of awful teams worse than us.

Even if we went down I wouldn't be arsed in the slightest as the parachute money near enough guarantees you come back up providing you can keep the bulk of your players like Newcastle, Fulham, Norwich did etc. Its not the death knell it used to be 10-15+ years ago.

Sure you'll get ribbed by the Kopites but it would actually force change and get the structure of the club sweeped clean and likely a few of the wastes of a wage like Iwobi off the books.

Hasn't done Leicester, Wolves & Villa any harm.

People laughed when I said even if we went down I wouldn't be arsed in the slightest as the parachute money near enough guarantees you come back up within 1-2 outside of some awful mismanagement.

No mate. People laughed when you said Benitez would get us into Europe
Then they laughed when you said we'd finish 8th under Benitez
Then they laughed when you said we'd finish in the top half under Benitez
Then they laughed when you said we'd finish above 12th under Benitez
Then they laughed when you said we'd easily finish above the relegation zone
Then they laughed when you said Benitez getting us relegated isn't a problem because Rafael is such a great manager he'd use the parachute manager to get us back up.

We aren't laughing with you...
