For me, the games against Chelsea, United at home are free hits and should be treated as a get anything from it, at this stage.

If Newcastle and Southampton has shown us anything it’s that we need to step up against sides who want it more than we do… Burnley and Watford away will be absolutely massive. They’ll be what determine us staying up, I feel.
No such thing as free hits in 16th. Every loss hurts a lot. We need a result on Saturday. I dont care that it's City. We need to go into the game believing we can win.

Burnley regularly get a winning streak together around this time.

They've lost one of their last five games, which was against Liverpool (0-1).

They've only conceded two goals in those five games. They've got Spurs at home next, then Palace away and Leicester at home.

I wouldn't be surprised if they picked up 5-6 points from those
I’ve heard that Dyche gets well over a £M every time he keeps Burnley up!!

Bar City, who are just on another planet, despite their defeat last night, I fear nobody at home.
I saw an awful lot of weaknesses last night. I'm just not sure our players have the courage and conviction to go out and bully them and make the most of them.

I haven't seen a side lose as many free men in the 6 yard box since.......well when Benitez was our manager.

Neither do I, but it’s still a free hit.

There’s obviously growing pressure, but no one expects us to go up against Coty and win… just go out, work your best and hope for some luck.

That’s all I’m getting at. The others are where the pressure will begin to stack and that’s why concerns me, we don’t deal with pressure.

There’s only 7 points separating the bottom 7 teams, no one is cut adrift yet and there’s still loads of games left to play. We’re definitely not too good to go down and the defence we had out yesterday doesn’t exactly inspire confidence. I think we’ll survive but there needs to be a major clear out in the summer or we’ll find ourselves in the same mess next season.

Would love a 7/8 player clear out. More even. Get a few cheap champions players in ones that will work for lamps. Just completely wash the muck off what has been this Moshiri era. I'm so sick of this team. I've zero respect for this side and the era.

Points Accrued after Premier League Red Cards (change of score indicates points earned or lost)

Man City +4, Palace +2 , Liverpool +1, Chelsea 0 (+2 -2), Spurs 0 (+1 -1), Wolves -1, Arsenal -1
Southampton -3

Now for the "you won't be surprised bit"

Number of times teams potentially benefit from a suspension of an opponent due to a red card in a previous PL game (also, where the player served the suspension in a League Cup or FA Cup game his own team earned the "benefit" from the serving of some of the suspension (indicated with a *)

Burnley 6 - including Dunk missing in 3-0 win this weekend,
Brentford 4*
Brighton 3, Man Utd 3*, Liverpool 3*, Man City 3, Norwich 3
Newcastle 2, West Ham 2*, Arsenal 2***, Watford 2, Chelsea 2, Villa 2 including benefitting from Sanchez missing in goal for Brighton at home, Leeds 2, Southampton 2
Spurs 1, Leicester 1, Crystal Palace 1
Wolves 0, Everton 0

But if we win and the teams around us also don’t win then that statistically increases our chances of survival, you surely understand this?
Of course I understand that … I am an intelligent and realistic man … my original statement was that I don’t want to cheer United …of course I understand the benefit . But I am a man of personal integrity and I’m not going to cheers team I hate .
Not sure why people are persuing me on a fairly unremarkable comment ?

Sadly a few on here have lost a lot of self respect for themselves.

Some cheered Liverpool on yesterday and want them to beat Leeds even if it meant them winning the title just because they have no faith in EFC doing their own business.

Shameless tbh - focus on Everton and what will be will be.

Koff to cheerleading the RS.

Correct. As usual we're on the end of the shoity end of the stick with the Burnley game. If we played it when we should have I'd be more confident of getting something out of it.
