No such thing as free hits in 16th. Every loss hurts a lot. We need a result on Saturday. I dont care that it's City. We need to go into the game believing we can win.
Yes I don’t understand this attitude. There are only two teams in this league head and shoulders above the rest. Everybody else is fair game

I see the city game as a way to just practice playing our game. If we go 1 down so what 2 down so what

Keep playing our game, don't give up.

Because that's what's happening away, any sign of pressure n the game plan goes out the window

Do you think all our players have relegation clauses reducing their salary or do you think we have been that arrogant not to include them?

If the worst happens there is the nucleus of a championship squad there. The below would be pretty solid in the championship

Coleman
Keane
Branthwaite
Godfrey
Mykolenko
Paterson
Douc
Davies
Gray
Townsend
Gordon
DCL
Rondon
Dobbin

Correct. As usual we're on the end of the shoity end of the stick with the Burnley game. If we played it when we should have I'd be more confident of getting something out of it.

Can’t be any excuses though mate.

We need to go there, and as fans, do whatever we can, just like yesterday.

The reality is, how many teams can stay up with just one away win all year? It’s time to change that… Watford and Burnley are going to be the games we hate, but we need to be taking a minimum of 4 points from them, and then take maximums from
Wolves, Brentford, Newcastle.

Just had a look at the table from November and compared it to this weekend, Grim .....

Not sure that squad is good enough to win the championship.

Plus, you are having a laugh if you think DCL will play a season in the championship. His body language gives me the impression that there is no way he is here next season, no matter what happens. Even if we went on an incredible run and won the FA cup too. I think he's gone. Probably to Arsenal, although I wouldn't rule out Newcastle to better their offer.

Hope I'm wrong like.

ffs.

They aren't our games in hand, our games in hand are Leicester and Newcastle
Thanks for confirming; didn't think the City and Spurs games were our ones in hand

Good time to play Leicester, they look terrible and we should be beating Newcastle at Goodison

Yeah I think that would likely be the nucleus of things, although DCL would also leave and I suspect we'd retain Holgate. I think the players we'd definitely sell would be Pickford, Mina, Allan, Richy and DCL. Even with a slight relegation discount there's probably close to £150 million being brought in, not to mention between them and the other contracts expiring an enormous saving on wages.

So there hopefully wouldn't be a necessity to sell our next best guys like Doucs, Godfrey or Gray. If you add to that squad a DCL replacement CF and beef up the midfield with some proper Championship scrappers, probably while spending about half of what we get in, and maybe loan a couple of good young players from Chelsea as Lampard did at Derby, I think it'd be a good team for that level with the player sales and wage reduction cushioning the financial blow a bit. I know some are catastrophising it a bit but realistically we'd be much more setup for a Villa style bounceback than any sort of Sunderland style freefall.
